Bravo To Burton! Alexander McQueen’s Fashion House Lives On!
After the tragic loss of Alexander McQueen rumors spread about what would become of the fashion house. To keep things running, the company enlisted Sarah Burton as its new creative director.
She just debuted her first collection for the brand in Milan. It’s full of monumental McQueen staples, yet feels humble and honors the late designer. There are lots of jackets and long coats that mimic McQueen’s English background and the red look below reflects his vivid fondness for bold pieces.
According to WWD, “the proceedings carried a lingering sense of mourning, and Burton elected not to take a bow.” Bow or not, we say Bravo to Burton!
