Anna Sui Channels Los Angeles Style Circa 1960
Designer, Anna Sui is known for taking fashion risks and presenting clothing that’s a little bit out of the norm, yet wonderfully works within the traditional RTW mindset.
Sui’s latest collection channels the free-spirited style of girls frolicking around Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles circa 1960. Many of her looks have been revamped to reflect present day silhouettes, but she includes a whimsical twist on classic styles with accents of fringe and feathers. The layering of hippie-esque prints remains cohesive throughout the collection and we like the different dress lengths used. Some of our favorite models that rocked the runway for Anna were, Agyness Deyn, Sasha Pivovarova, Natasha Poly, Abbey Lee Kershaw and Liu Wen.
