Ralph Lauren’s Lavish NYC Flagship

Oct 16, 2010 By Amy

All American brand, Ralph Lauren has launched their latest retail real estate endeavor – an expansive women’s flagship store off Madison Avenue in New York. Just in time for Ralph Lauren‘s 71st birthday (October 14), the company’s new lavish location is ready for business with each of it’s floors offering a unique shopping experience. The four-floor mecca sells everything a Lauren connoisseur could want from shoes to sheets. The first level offers a array of accessories, leather goods, watches, and jewelry. While, the second is dedicated to the Ralph Lauren Collection. Their third floor presents shoppers their Black Label, Blue Label and RLX lines. And lastly, the fourth level offers up the Lauren Home Collection, all with elaborate floor displays of course.

Guests can enjoy purchasing (err..oogling) exlusive items created just for the flagship. As reported by WWD, these items include: “a Ricky bag for $17,995, a rectangular clutch for $9,995 and a Bohemian Voyager satchel for $19,995. In the shoe salon, a pair of evening sandals draped with hand-applied onyx stones retails for $1,200.”

If the store feels extra-elaborate, that’s because it was meant to. Lauren’s goal was to create a “glamorous” space. “I wanted to really establish what the clothes are about, what the jewelry is about and what the furniture is about,” he said to WWD. “I wanted to give everything that we do a home that said, ‘this is Ralph Lauren.’” We say mission accomplished!
