Industrie Mag Dubs The 50 Most Influential Forces of Fashion!
When you think of fashion who are the creative forces that come to your mind? Is it the Anna Wintours, the Marc Jacobs, the Terry Richardsons of the world, or is someone else? According to Business of Fashion, Industrie Magazine developed a list of the 50 most influential and inspirational creatives working in the fashion industry rightfully dubbed “The New Creative Establishment” and modeled after Vanity Fair’s “The New Establishment.” This list will make it’s debut in the magazine’s second issue which hits newsstands today.
The publication’s editors, Jens Grede and Erik Torstensson have been carefully developing their list which they name a “celebration of creativity in fashion.” Additionally, the team put major emphasis on the word “new” within the title given some of the longtime names within the industry didn’t make the cut. Both editors agreed that those on the list were also selected because of the “wider impact their work has had on fashion business, the social and other creative industries.”
Photographer duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot came in at the top spot, while innovators such as Miuccia Prada, Tom Ford and Joe McKenna also made the list. For the rest, check out BoF’s exclusive summary. What do you think? Did Industrie Magazine forget anyone?
