IFB’s Evolving Influence Conference Recap
If there’s one thing that is constantly on our brains, it’s blogging! It’s what we love to do for our readers! Team MyFDB kicked off New York Fashion week with a quick stop at the bustling Lincoln Center for our credentials. Shortly thereafter, we braved the cold, hopped in a cab and were lucky enough to spend the rest of the day at the Independent Fashion Bloggers “Evolving Influence” conference. Over 200 bloggers gathered together from all over the US (we met bloggers from Philly to Texas!) at the very stylish Milk Studios in the heart of the Meatpacking District for a fun day of blogging savvy panelists including Leandra Medine, Karla Deras, Yvan Rodic and Geri Hirsch. From advice on branding one’s blog to dealing with companies and working together as a network of bloggers, there was no shortage on the helpful information offered to attendees.
The guests excitedly waited for keynote speakers, the dreamy duo Lazaro Schouler and Jack McCollough of Proenza Schouler, whose discussion was narrated by Imran Amed of Business of Fashion. The team talked about their brand, the influence of social media and platforms such as Twitter, as well as, the influence of fashion blogs and how diverse the two are in terms of design- but that’s what makes Proenza Schouler, Proenza Schouler!
Guests also received lunch and got the chance to check out a new collection from Aldo and the latest type of Levi’s (Curve I.D) to hit the market. Among the awesome blogging insight from panelists was also some amazing fashion inspiration! Hmmm, we may be hinting at an upcoming style post!
