Prints, Sparkles & More! FOCUS Trade Show’s Runway Trends
Continuing on MyFDB’s trade adventures we made time to check out the Contemporary Collections runway show presented by FOCUS. Brands selected to show included: Iron Fist, Voom, Miilla, Nataya, and Musani Couture. Each label showcased standout looks for fall 2011.
Iron Fist opened the show with jewel colored blazers and a super cute black and white polka-dot turbans (a huge trend) followed by a mixing of patterns and fabrics. Interestingly enough Voom by Joy Han’s main focus was on bold prints like the purple and mustard dress above.
If there was another brand that was all about sheerness it was definitely Natanya, where models rocked very sheer dresses in dark grey, red, black and creme with floral accents at the top. The dresses looked elegant and delicate all at the same time. Last but certainly not least was Musani Couture, whose gowns were all about sparkles in black, white and silver. The crowd literally let out an “ahhh” a model hit the catwalk in a gown that transitioned from black to white (pictured top left). Although my favorite had to be the all silver ensemble that reminded me of Sandra Bullock‘s Marchesa number at the 2010 Golden Globes.
