From Punks To Preachers Meet Twist Magazine

Mar 25, 2011 By Amy

Sometimes a men’s fashion magazine only highlights a certain kind of man fitting their demographic. French publication, Twist does just the opposite. The mag, which is new to MyFDB, features everyone from preachers to punks in their latest issue. Menswear can be pretty diverse, so it’s exciting to find an outlet that embraces and showcases the many sides of a stylish man.

In this “Punks Ain’t Dead” editorial model, Eugeniy Sauchanky gets grungy with a ratty-looking tank top and a mohawk. I didn’t really think the punk rock look was still in, but like the editorial say’s the punks aren’t dead.

My favorite editorial in this new issue of Twist is titled, “Portrait” because photographer, Lionel Guyou captures models taking on different stereotypes. Stylist, Birgitte Mahrt got creative with the wardrobe to create looks for characters that include: a poor man, a rich man, a thief, a beggar man, a sailor, a tailor and more.

Another standout editorial is named, “The Preacher” because (you guessed it) a Preacher is featured. But this isn’t any normal preacher, this man of the cloth rocks tattoos, John Varvatos and All Saints duds.
