Paris Hilton Becomes a Journalist Thanks to Lil Wayne
Upon noticing Interview‘s latest cover I thought nothing of it…well, besides oh cool, it’s Lil Weezy, he’s outta jail and doing the whole PR thing…good for him…
That is, until I got to the actual editorial itself shot by Bjarne Jonasson. First things first, the cover of the magazine foreshadows the hilarity of the matching editorial titled, “Welcome to Lil Wayne’s World.” And then there are the images…an up and close look at Weezy in all his freedom (from jail?)…err, I mean artistic glory. The focus is all on Wayne as the black and white photos are also tinted with hints of technicolor…an odd and interesting creative choice. Wayne rocks a studded leather jacket and a classic white-t with oversized glasses in his true fashion. Then there are the accessories, which consist of more studs and chains (his tattoos and piercings don’t count) and some sort of medieval like club- known as a “Morning Star” which sounds more like the title to one of Hilton’s heinous pop songs. Yeah, we get it Weezy…you’re tough…and you will use that thing against us.
And last but certainly not least, is the interview conducted by Paris Hilton. Apparently, returning back to modeling isn’t the only thing Paris is doing these days. Wow, what I would have given to be in the room when those two got together, talk about when opposites attract! My favorite excerpt has to be the one below regarding Lil Wayne’s solitary confinement.
Wayne: For me it was okay, because it just meant that I was alone with my thoughts.
Hilton: I had to do 24 nights in solitary.
Wayne: Oh, so you know how it is.
Hilton: Yeah, I know how it is.
It seems the two have more in common than we think. *hint* What rhymes with snail and begins with a “j”?…JAIL…Oh, and music…yes, Paris Hilton also sang at one point. Hmm do I smell a musical collab in the near future? (Let’s hope not…and by not I mean so.)
