I am not going to lie…I know many people twice as old as Willow Smith that are not nearly as cool as her. At just 10 (yeah, not even a teenager yet) she has hit  stardom! Okay, yes, I know her parents are Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, but Willow seems to be all about paving her own path and marching to the beat of her own drum. The MyFDB offices were obsessed with her first single “Whip My Hair”- that had us doing just that. Now she appears in the latest issue of Teen Vogue in the editorial titled, “Whipper Snapper” shot by Daniel Jackson and Willow is just too cool for words!

Her latest single “21st Century Girl” was just released this week! Check it out below:

I love how funky and age appropriate the video and lyrics are. Given that I am a huge Downtown LA fan, I think it’s also really cool that Willow ends up dancing and having a party with all her friends on Grand- one of the busiest streets of DTLA- only after being in the desert. She truly is a (21st century) girl to watch!
