Wixson & Vogue British: Beautiful, Bizarre or Baffling?

Apr 30, 2011 By Lauren Valenti

I don’t know whether to call this Vogue British editorial, gorgeous or terrifying? I guess, we can just chalk it up as artsy. The whole atmosphere reminds me of Tim Burton‘s whimsical production of Alice in Wonderland. But then there comes the makeup, done by Val Garland…I mean it’s cool and all, but poor Lindsey Wixson and Kirsi Pyrhonen look like jokers plucked from the set of Batman. Same goes for the hair, it’s a littledisheveled.

But, let’s talk about the most important part of the editorial…the wardrobe! Fashion Editor, Kate Phelan was right on-point with all of the striped clothing she incorporated into this shoot. It’s all about stripes on stripes on stripes! The editorial is appropriately titled The Right Lines, and I must agree, stripes are definitely a great trend to take on this summer! So, what is your conclusion on this editorial? Beautiful, bizarre, or baffling?
