“Never judge a book by it’s cover” are words my mom reminded me of time and time again growing up. And although I am human and totally guilty of doing so (who isn’t?), the phrase really made me think twice when I saw the most recent cover of InStyle.

InStyle‘s�”drab and bleh” cover was shot by Michelangelo Di Battista and features the beautiful Eva Longoria…but don’t let that fool you, the matching editorial “Keep It Cool” is anything but…a simmering Longoria makes lounging by the pool look easy and�glamorous. And if you’ve ever tried to tan and lounge near a pool while trying to look cute, you know it’s not the simplest of tasks.

I love how simple and pretty Eva looks with very little makeup thanks to makeup artist Dotti. There is something so sultry about the images, maybe it’s the lighting or the weird shadows, but it works. My favorite shot of Longoria is the one below. How very “jet-setting” and Michael Kors-esque does she look?
