Put Your Pom Poms Up…We’ve Got Spirit, How ‘Bout You?
I don’t mean to give you any high school flashbacks, but this awesome “Pom Pom Girl” editorial from Jalouse magazine may do just that. While I was the opposite of a cheerleader in HS, there’s something so playful and fun about pom poms that I adore. And even though this shoot was for a French publication, I believe they intentionally gave it an all-American feel with the use of red, white and blue. I wish there were more pseudo-cheer moves in the shoot (spirit fingers anyone?), but photographer Henry Tims did a great job catching the model in action.
There’s also a little bit of a vintage feel with the use of bodysuits and if you look closely, you’ll see that the orange hat the model is wearing says “Newton County nursing home.” I don’t where Newton is, but my guess is that’s a vintage hat pulled by stylist, Anne Sophie Thomas.
