As the month comes to an end, we’ve rounded up our favorite and least favorite magazine covers from the database. The competition was stiff, but we’ve carefully selected and analyzed the picks below.
Starting from the top we have a summer fun cover by Tatler with Romola Garai in a sunny yellow gown surrounded by businessman who can’t help but gawk at the beauty.
Emma Stone showed off some artsy circular motion for Elle‘s cover in black lace, shot by photographer Carter Smith.
We love seeing the musical Florence Welch go casual for Nylon in striped shorts.
Jalouse turned up the heat with Hailey Gates‘ wind blown dramatic cover shot.
Meanwhile, Beyonce surprised everyone by rockin’ stylish Louis Vuitton duds for W magazine.
Lastly, Gisele literally took over Vogue Brasil in a stunning one-piece.
While these six shots might appear pretty, there’s a reason why they each landed up in our least favorite pile.
Model turned actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley shows us that she’s not high fashion and more commercial after all with her GQ British cover and editorial.
Vanity Fair chose to highlight the royal couple, who we’re more than sick of hearing about, so that alone put them in a ‘worst’ slot.
L’Officiel, whose covers we normally enjoy, displayed a puzzled Natalia Vodianova on their cover. We like the theme, but Vodianova’s confused look throws us off.
Then we have Sarah Jessica Parker on the cover of US Vogue‘s age issue. How not original Anna. The actress has already covered Vogue multiple times and like the royal couple, we’re over it.
We’re not sure who’s the star of InStyle, Eva Longoria‘s head or her shoulder? The awkward head-over-the-shoulder cover shot isn’t very inventive.
Oh, Joe Jonas…look at you trying to be hip and relevant on Paper magazine. Unfortunately, the selection feels off-brand for him and publication.
