Markus Lupfer Teaches Us A Lesson
I’m all for lookbooks and collections in the form of awesome videos (See Prabal Gurung and Henry Holland as proof) so the latest one, thanks to designer Markus Lupfer, is interestingly entertaining. There may not be some cool song attached to the video, but instead it’s more of a fashion lesson inspired by those really awkward middle school science movies we had to sit through. Lupfer also went on to say that the video’s concept was thought up by him and director Tabitha Denholm who also dubbed the film a “fashion mockumentary.”
Lupfer explained to The Guardian: “Our resort 2012 collection is centered around classic Markus Lupfer pieces in a pop color palette. There is a focus on stripes and playing with their dimensions and also a sequin sweater range based on the idea of accessorizing with sequin bags. I always like our collections to be humorous, contemporary, sparkly, sexy, feminine, from day to evening, and comfortable.” The video features Florence Welch, and models Irina Lazareanu and Sadie Frost.
