Since MyFDB is an official CFDA partner, it’s only natural for us to track their incubation and support of emerging designers. Just announced were the names of the next 10 brands and designers chosen for the 2012-2014 CFDA Fashion Incubator. Located in New York’s garment district, the incubator gives these designers access to studio space at a nominal rate (the area can very pricey) and connects them with NYU MBA students who will truly help them learn the business of fashion by guiding them with investment plans and helping them to shape their business model.

“It is very promising for the fashion industry that there is such a deep and diverse pool of talented and hard-working designers. We look forward to providing meaningful educational opportunities with the industry’s leading experts to support their efforts”, said Lisa Smilor, CFDA Deputy Director.
