While I’m not a fan of the royal couple William & Kate, I am a fan of model Andrej Pejic. The Australian male-turned-female is taking his luscious locks to England to meet the Queen! Her royal highness is hosting a fete for Australians and invitations have been extended to some of the country’s movers & shakers in the fashion industry. This royal affair is set to take place on October 13th and Pejic will be showing off his Aussie pride. Since there’s no doubt he’s RSVPing yes, there’s speculation over his attire. Will it sway more towards the feminine side or will he opt for a suit?

Frockwriter did some research into the question and went straight to the source, Buckingham Palace press officer Marnie Gaffney (an Australian who works with The Queen) for an answer.

“After stifling a giggle on the Pejic dress question, Gaffney told frockwriter, “The recommended dress code for receptions at Buckingham Palace is Day Dress/Lounge Suit. However, this is for guidance only and guests are welcome to wear whatever they feel comfortable in.”

It seems like we’ll have to wait until the 13th to see what our pal Pejic will be wearing, but if you look closely at the invitation it does say “Lounge Suit/Day Dress” — interpret that how you may.
