Vivienne Tam Goes Acid Tripping On Seventies Zen
Vivienne Tam didn’t go on an acid trip back to the seventies… Instead, her collection did. She commenced her spring 2012 show with a tranquil and harmonious journey to a zen garden, which consisted of red and white prints and then slowly transitioned to seventies style designs. Before we knew it we were back in time.
Actually, it was more like time was brought back to us, as Tam made the trends of yesteryear modern again. Many of her pieces had a structured silhouette and included some fitted jackets in her show. The designer then “let it all go” with some flowing pieces. Tam presented 40 crisp looks and finished the show with waterfall sleeved gowns that echoed the more “experimental” decade.
