Look for a treat in the pages of your favorite magazines this month as Louis Vuitton is making a sweet statement with its Spring/Summer 2012 ad campaign. The collection was a menagerie of feminine beauty. Tailored skirt suits, feather accented dresses, and a pervasion of eyelet fabric characterized the line. Nearly all the garments were also in a sweet pastel color palette or were comprised soft cream or bright white.

The shoot for the advertisements captures and compliments all of these details exquisitely. Creative Director of the French fashion house, Marc Jacobs, explained why the adorable candy shop concept perfect for the line: ”All the tone and texture of the collection — the lightness, the prettiness, the broderie anglaise, the millefeuille layers of organza — are recreated in these wonderful images by Steven Meisel. It is all very soft and very sweet, yet at the same time very bold and very graphic.” The two models Daria Strokous and Kati Nescher look delightful as can be in the light and flirty collection. The photos also do an superb job of displaying Louis Vuitton’s wonderful accessories. The house’s it-girl bags of the season are a major focus and the gorgeous metallic accented shoes are not to be forgotten, either.

The bright sorbet colors surely make an impact and the tone of the advertisements as well as the collection is flawless for Spring/Summer. Jacobs describes the environment as “sumptuous and rich and pretty.” The environment and the confections are not the only thing looking pretty, the collection itself is radiant in these photos. These successful ads make any girl covet the pieces for a Spring garden party. Certainly a piece from Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2012 Collection would make a very sweet addition to any closet indeed.
