Yamamoto’s Fall beauty was very reflective of the ideal tough, fascinating, and imaginative Yamamoto girl. Ombre navy and rose colored lips and colorful streaks in the models’ manes made for a new age femme fatale look.

2.Prada

A word that easily describes Prada’s beauty look- “striking.” Verigated  and multicolored ombre expressed a new take on a hair trend that has been making waves this season.

3. Jean Paul Gaultier

The girls at Gaultier made the biggest statement for sure. painted on ombre. The look provided a fun and quirky accompanyment to Gaultier’s daring collection.

1. Prada

The girls of the Prada show sported a daring mix of orange, black, and mauve with an expertly done lower lid cat eye. Although this look might be too dramatic for real life in its entirety, elements like the two-toned shadow or create cat eyeliner can be adapted for an enthralling evening look.

2. Narciso Rodriguez

At Narciso Rodriguez’s Fall 2012 show, the models displayed an array of bright colors on eyes and lips. The key to the styling of this show was that the color concentrated heavily on one feature, making it the central focus of the beauty look. The show’s artistic director, Dick Page, explained that ”The girls had either a strong eye and a muted lip, or a muted eye and a very strong lip.” This idea makes wearing a thrilling, bold color as easy as choosing a feature to emphasize and keeping everything else minimal.

3. Dries Van Noten

The models at the Dries Van Noten show emulated much of the same ideas that were expressed in the Narciso Rodriguez beauty. However, here is yet another example that, curiously enough, orange is a hot color for fall beauty. Whether it be an accent on an eye color or a orange/red lip hue, try incorporating some orange into your beauty routine.

4. Prabal Gurung

The fashion as well as the beauty of the Prabal Gurung show were forward-thinking and enamoring. The icy eyes of the models is definitely one to try and emulate with the help of a stunning iridescent, cool eye color.

5. Anna Sui

Anna Sui makeup, like Prabal Gurung, used icy blue as an important focus of their beauty look. We are adoring this technicolor cat eye and think it could translate beautifully into an off-the-runway look.

6. 3.1 Phillip Lim

3.1 Phillip Lim’s gals had some of the gorgeous two toned elements of the Prada beauty. However, this double decker cat eye uses layering of color in a more toned down sense. The result is still super powerful but this look definitely beats Prada for wearability. Take a cue from Phillip Lim and rim your normal eyeliner with an unexpected color pop or choose two bright colors for a more intense look.

Who says people in fashion don’t eat? Because we do…sometimes. Well, instead of eating food, Karl Lagerfeld opted to hold a fashion show among an elegant dinner setting for the debut of Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection. The garments encompassed the fine craftsmanship we love about Chanel coupled with the creativity we love about Lagerfeld. For the season’s looks Lagerfeld drew inspiration from India. Many of the models donned traditional style Indian head pieces, which were blinged out to the max- the collection is named, Métiers d’Art.

Style.com dubbed it, “all the Raj” and went on to report, “The theme “Paris-Bombay” was a reminder that Europe’s fashion industry has increasingly turned to India to produce extravagantly handworked pieces as it has become prohibitively expensive to make them at home. Lagerfeld’s fiendish plan was to flip the equation, so that everything that looked intricately Indian was actually made by Chanel’s ateliers in Paris.” But what’s even more interesting is that Lagerfeld has actually never visited India. ”It’s much more inspiring not to go to places than to go,” he told Style.com. Uhmm…really? Because, we’d like to physically visit a destination to be inspired by it more.

Anyways, on to the show! The collection was obviously a hit with the jeweled accents along with the use of silks and tweed. On the catwalk Lagerfeld walked out alongside mature modeling maven Stella Tennant (above). Mother daughter duo Yasmin Le Bon (42) and Amber Le Bon (22) both walked in the show for a unique bonding experience. Front row, Bollywood starlet Freida Pinto showed her support. A-list models Kasia Struss, Arizona Muse, Crystal Renn, Anja Rubik, and even muse Baptiste Giabiconi got in the fun with a turban on the elegant catwalk.

Are those flowers in your hair or are you just happy to see me? Supermodel cover girls were beautified for a makeup and hair spread in Vogue Paris. Simply titled, “Cover Girls” (which is what they all are) readers get up close with the faces of Natasha Poly, Isabeli Fontana, Izabel Goulart, Karolina Kurkova, Arizona Muse (pictured), and Hanaa Ben Abdesslem. The shoot may remind of those days when you used to play dress up and get all fancy with your hair and makeup. The girls each take on a lively persona for photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.

Cosmetic-wise nude lips and faces are seen throughout a few of the shots and sultry orange pout makes its way into two shots, which we love. Thank you makeup artist, Lisa Butler.

I’m not sure if the wardrobe basics used or the hot actors that drew me into this GQ Style Italia shoot? While I do love the comfort and flexibility of a basic t-shirt, I also enjoy seeing actors like Jake Gyllenhaal and Anton Yelchin casually hang around in scruffy hair and dirty shirts.  The black & white photography by Mark Abrahams adds to the testosterone filled rawness of this editorial titled, “Basic D’Autore“ (Italian for “on the basic author” according to Google Translate).

The two stars weren’t the only guys in this shoot either, Abrahams captured other leading men in assorted white tees including Dev Patel, Jesse Eisenberg, Bradford Cox, and Ben Barnes. This is one of those shoots where artistic photography and eye candy meet – we love it!

Like most names in fashion, you never really know what to expect from Daphne Guinness when she arrives at an event. She flocked to the Met Gala in an uber-feathered gown and got ready for by dressing in a window. Now her fashion antics are moving from her outfits to her face. Guinness’ highly anticipated line for MAC Cosmetics has been unveiled, and while we love her outrageousness, we’re thrilled her collection is composed of a color palate that seems wearable by regular people, like us. The pieces are comprised of basic noir, soft blushes, feminine lip glosses, and liners. We’re most excited for the purple hues! Shades of purple allow us to be daring without appearing too over the top. The collection amounts to 21-units all together.  WWD describes the colors as ”shades…made up of rich, seasonal hues.”

The MAC collection will be available December 26th, which is strange because you’d think MAC would what to release it before the Christmas holiday, not after. But, come January the entire collection will rollout internationally.

It was Beyonce who said it best with her lyrics, “Who run the world? GIRLS!”  However, it looks like big names in modeling are complimented with even bigger makeup for this “Run The World, Girls” editorial in V magazine. Proving that models do in fact have that fashion edge over celebrities who have been taking over magazine covers for years now. Their cover makes us yearn for the return of the times of iconic modeling. Model crushes Joan Smalls, Candice Swanepoel, Lindsey Wixson, Bambi Northwood-Blyth, Sui He, and Hanaa Ben Abdesslem all posed for photographer Terry Richardson in some very vivid looks.

Above we see Candice & Joan hooping around in some haute makeup looks applied by Aaron De Mey. The genius behind the wardrobe is this shoot was none other than Carine Roitfeld herself, who’s eclectic styling always amazes the camera.

Just because it’s fall doesn’t mean we have to give up the sizzling styles of summer, brights are always fun to incorporate into any wardrobe no matter the season. Of course, we all don’t need to lose our tops like model Charlotte Di Calypso did for this Vogue Brasil editorial titled, “Broto Legal“.

Shot by Henrique Gendre, Calypso is far from a shy model, but what’s cool about the shoot is that she’s rocking a scarf and a unique pair of spectacles in each shot. Since we learned how to perfectly style one during our interview with Sabina Les, this editorial seems ideal for the season. While we can’t all be topless or in bikini tops, we can at least enjoy being fashionably scarved this winter! It was stylist Luis Fiod, who found all the scarfs for this shoot and paired them playfully with attire that’s more suited for summer. Then again, this is Vogue Brasil and thanks to splendid weather they wear bikinis year ’round, so why not enjoy living vicariously through them?

Makeup went on overload for this Allure editorial featuring model crushes Hailey Clauson and Daphne Groeneveld. Entitled, “Look Sharp” the girls appear uber seductive thanks to enormous pouty lips with exaggerated eyeshadow and mega cheek color.  Makeup artist Tom Pecheux invented four difference cosmetic looks for the shoot, which were captured by Mario Testino. I’m surprised they didn’t mix up the poses more, because each shot feels a little too similar to the last. The pair are close together wearing fabulous clothes that we’re yearning to see more, but we get it…the focus is on the makeup.

The beauty takeaway from this editorial? More is more! Don’t be afraid of a bold lip or to emphasize your cheekbones. And of course, eye color is always welcome! Adding a playful element to the shoot, in each picture one of the girls is holding a beauty tool, which she’s ready to use on the other. Be sure to notice the syringe, teeth whitening laser, teeth cleaner, and some sort of refreshing mouth rinser. These girls may not have gone to dental school, but they do know how to pose beautifully.
