Prior to chopping off her locks, getting bangs, and going extremely platinum blonde, model and it-girl Abbey Lee Kershaw was in a slew of campaigns…and after her transformation? Kershaw is now literally everywhere…Tom Ford? ckOne? Portmans and Versace? Uhm, yes to all of those.

So as the old saying goes, Kershaw isn’t just “with” the band…she’s IN it! That’s right; Kershaw plays the tamborine, keys and vocals for her band Our Mountain. Russh magazine and photographers Will Davidson and Stevie Dance capture them in candid and not so candid poses. I love the old school rock feel of the editorial, don’t you?

With the Royal Wedding upon us (I know we’re all sick of hearing about it), this “Across the Aisle” editorial from Vogue managed to put me in a “going to the chapel” mood. Taking the spotlight off of british royals, wedding fashions go straight to modeling royalty as Abbey Lee Kershaw (below), Anais Mali, Christy Turlington and Karolina Kurkova (above) get into their best wedding guest attire for this playful shoot.

Posing with loved ones, I adore seeing the softer side of models throughout this editorial!

Karl Lagerfeld loves to put on a good show and each season Paris Fashion Week show-goers are treated to an extravagant Chanel experience. Well, this year the brand literally erupted! With their runway surrounded by black rocks and charcoal, steam smoldered up as models walked a smokey catwalk showcasing dark masculine looks for fall. What made the event an ever larger spectacle was the daunting drawbridge that opened up to signify the start of the show.

Models walking the catwalk included Freja Beha Erichsen, Stella Tennant, Sasha Pivovarova, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Arizona Muse, Anja Rubik, Baptiste Giabiconi (Showtime!), Bambi Northwood-Blyth, Natasha Poly, Kasia Struss, and more.

With the tune of The Cure’s “A Forest” playing while models walked the runway, the show definitely had a more gothic vibe. Overall the collection was much harder due to the use of onyx black tweeds and larger industrial feeling suits and capes.

The volcanic show didn’t have any lava spewing out, but there was a kind of an apocalyptic feel from Lagerfed’s dark vision. Besides, if the world is going to end, its best to go out rocking Chanel!

If there’s one saying that seems to be ringing true for the Calvin Klein, it’s “Go big or go home.”  According to WWD, the company has plans of turning ck one into a full lifestyle brand with a global advertising campaign that encompasses all things social media, as well as, TV and print. The company is claiming it’s the largest digital initiative in history, but they’re declining to disclose the cost.

The new ads feature more than 30 models inside a “ck one” box laughing, dancing and working it in front of camera, which captures it all in quick shots. Directed by Steven Meisel, featured models include Abbey Lee Kershaw, Alice Dellal, Pixie Geldof, Fei Fei Sun, Ruby Aldridge, Sky Ferreira, and Lara Stone just to name a few.

The key purpose of the initiative, according to consulting creative director Fabien Baron, is to drive traffic to ckone.com which gives visitors an interactive online experience as they can even upload their own ck one version of the video to the site. In addition, the site will have a global store and mobile apps available for various smart-phones.

The full campaign will be revealed March 1st while a teaser will launch tomorrow on the ckone.com. If you’re near the LED billboards at Houston and Lafayette streets in New York, Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, or Subway Urban Panels, peep the new digital ads!

The AMAZING Abbey Lee Kershaw nabs yet another editorial, and this time it’s for V magazine! Kershaw looks surprisingly like Farrah Fawcett with her wildly blown out blond hair, and her vintage wardrobe. Of course, the editorial’s jewelry doesn’t resemble Farrah Fawcett, instead it reminds me of man repeller, Leandra Medine’s coined phrase, “jewelry that resembles violent weaponry.” It’s fabulous though—can you imagine accidentally harming someone with it though? I sure can, ouch!

We can thank stylist Robbie Spencer for the orange, camel and mustard hued clothing that looks so good against Kershaw’s pale skin. I think a color palette like this would be great alongside spring’s most sought after shade of white! As mentioned above, Kershaw’s hair is also killer—it’s so big because it’s full of secrets. (Okay, silly reference to the movie Mean Girls but the moment just presented itself!) In all seriousness though, hairstylist Duffy did a great job! I really wish my hair was that voluminous! Brands always spend mega-bucks on a top notch crew for glitzy ad campaigns, while this approach works for some, rag & bone decided upon a much more raw approach for their latest images. The line enlisted the help of runway regulars, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Edita Vilkeviciute, Sasha Pivovarova and Lily Aldridge for a lil DIY ad campaign action. The girls were given digital cameras to shoot and style themselves in rag & bone’s clothes. The result? Some playful, dirty and wet images of the models frolicking in rag & bone. My favorite shot has got to be Sasha looking oh so casual and chic while pumping gas.

The images are going to be made into posters which will be displayed all over Manhattan. This ad campaign will also go viral with the brand’s newest crowd sourcing initiative. Fans who download flyers on rag-bone.com and and post them around their city will be automatically entered to win tickets to the rag & bone Fall 2011 Fashion Show in New York after they submit a photo of their work. I’m guessing this means we’ll be seeing lots of our model crushes around NYC very soon.

Season after season, Tom Ford manages to step up the glamour and chicness of his eponymous label. Now his latest ads for his Spring/Summer 2011 eyewear are of course quite stunning. Shot by Mr. Ford himself, a platinum blonde Abbey Lee Kershaw rocks bright red lips and nails to match alongside the very handsome Arthur Sales (who has been seen in ads for Armani Exchange and DSQUARED2). What’s the latest in eyewear according to Ford: majorly over-sized sunglasses and we LOVE it! Springtime and the sunshine can’t get here fast enough!

We all know that Monday is one of, or rather is the most disliked day of the week.  So, we at MyFDB decided to make everyone’s Mondays a little more exciting with our new series, Model Mondays.  Every Monday we will profile one of those gorgeous models who grace the pages of our favorite magazines and stomp the catwalks of our favorite designers.  Today we are profiling the beautiful bombshell, Abbey Lee Kershaw.

Kershaw is relatively new to the fashion industry.  In 2008 she won the Australian Girlfriend CoverGirl Model Search and instantly won the hearts of everyone.  Now, she seems to be everywhere you look!  For this Fall/Winter 2010 season she landed the ad campaigns of Chanel, Mulberry, and Jaeger.  In the Pre-Fall 2010 season Kershaw was featured in the ad campaign for Gap next to fellow A-list models.  In the Spring of 2010 Kershaw can be seen on the cover of Vogue Australia, Pop, and Numéro Homme!  This Aussie has it going on to say the least!

Since video campaigns are all the rage in fashion these days, Alexander Wang pulled out the big guns for the creation of his viral ad starring Abbey Lee Kershaw. “We’re always striving to communicate the frame of mind behind the collection, whether it’s through our show or imagery, but this season we got to delve much deeper,” Wang told Style.com. “And with the help of an incredibly gifted team—Abbey, Craig, Fabien, and Karl—my inspiration for Fall ‘10 unfolds in a raw and visually arresting dreamscape.”

Bravo to the amazing team (and the powerful fan) who worked to make this project a reality!
