Her latest “Mixmaster” editorial with InStyle shows she really does have all the fun! Surrounded by music equipment, Chung keeps it casual with styles that transition from summer to fall pretty easily.

Then there’s the black & white ad campaign she did with Pepe Jeans this past summer. Oh, and in case you were wondering, that’s model Gaspard Menier she’s walking next to.

Of course, Chung isn’t just in magazines she’s ON them…her cover shots range from whimsical and romantic to casual denim. This wide scale of appeal actually makes us like her more. She threw up hearts for Jalouse, went soft and frilly for Bazaar, and of course was her casual self for Vogue British. Notice their cover reads, “What is it about Alexa Chung.” I guess we’re not the only ones trying to figure that out.

“All that glitters is gold” seemed to be the unofficial theme at Cynthia Rowley‘s spring 2012 show. Upon

Lohan was clearly tipped off about Rowley’s midas touch as she was rockin’ an uber-glittery pair of heels. Models strutted out in a parade of gold accented pieces and botanical prints. It seemed the majority of Rowley’s collection was made from silk, which gave the clothing a nice sheen. There were also leather mesh tops and skirts that would add a touch of pizzazz to any closet.

All of the show’s looks were styled by Tina Laakkonen with makeup by Lottie Stannard for Make Up For Ever and hair from Shon for Amika.

If there was one place we would have loved to have been at this past Tuesday evening, it would be the lavish Savoy Hotel where the British Fashion Council awarded some of the most talented fashion professionals to date. We couldn’t agree more with the winners! Especially Burberry for their digital innovation…remember when we told you about the livecast of their Spring 2011 show!? Awesome! In addition, a posthumous Outstanding Achievement Award was given to Alexander McQueen (who already had four under his belt!) by the British Prime Minister’s wife Samantha Cameron. According to Elle.com, “a video montage of McQueen’s most memorable pieces, directed with haunting intensity by fashion film nobility Nick Knight was overlayed with a soundtrack by Bjork.” Peep the video below for the beauty of it all!

Alexa Chung is definitely the “It-Brit” of the moment. In the last year or so, Chung has made quite the name for herself in the fashion industry. At just the age of 27, she has a resume that some would kill for just half of. Mulberry named a bag after her which produced a massive waiting list, Mr. Karl Lagerfeld himself made her one of his Chanel muses, she modeled alongside Jon Kortajarena (um, jealous!) for Pepe Jeans, and even collaborated with the brand Madewell with certain pieces sold out almost immediately. To cut to the point, this girl has got it going on!

And now her resume will become even more impressive. Chung, most notably known in the states for her MTV show “It’s On With Alexa Chung,” is now giving the silver screen a second shot with new show “Thrift America” which will air on PBS next summer. According to Elle.com, the show will follow Miss Chung on her various treasure hunts throughout vintage shops and flea markets in New York and other cities such as Orlando, Detroit, Nashville. Known for her amazing ability to mix vintage with couture, I am very excited to see this chic Brit explore America’s thrifty locations. I also think it’ll be a great transition network wise from MTV to PBS. Anyone who is a fan of “Antiques Roadshow” and fashion should be just as excited as I am!
