Ultra-modern, refined and mysterious, Alice Della is the latest in the line of  CHANEL muses, each boasting their own inimitable allure.

If don’t know her by name, you’ll at least recognize Alice Dellal’s signature partially-shaven head, piercing blue eyes, tattoo collection and androgynous punk-rock ensembles. Karl Lagerfeld has not only admitted to crushing on the non-conformist British model/muscian, but chosen her to star in their new ‘Boyfriend’ handbag collection campaign.

“[Karl Lagerfeld] had a crush on this unique, charismatic young lady, who is both a model and musician, during a photo shoot several months ago,” Chanel told WWD.

Dellal is a drummer for all-girl punk band Thrush Metal,  with fellow models Emma Chitty and Laura Fraser, along with niece of the Earl of Dalhousie, Isabella Ramsey. Dellal has previously cited both style and musical inspiration from lead singer of American punk-band The Plasmatics, Wendy O Williams, who also has an affinity for anti-athoritarian garments, hardcore music, and bleach.

Some see Dellal as odd choice to be face of Chanel, but anyone who knows the Uncle Karl knows that he always have a few tricks up his leather-studded, fingerless gloves. “Alice Dellal represents the perfect incarnation of all that is unique about the Boy Chanel handbag collection which strives far from conformist notions of femininity.” explains Chanel. The campaign, shot by Lagerfeld himself, will be revealed in March 2012.

We all know the bad-boy type; hot, confident, carefree and totally edgy. Girls love them, and other guys hate them. But, what about bad girls? They are hot, confident, carefree, and edgy too but they are also sexy and lusted after by both men and women. Take for example, this week’s feature for Model Monday, Alice Dellal. She is known in the fashion industry as quite the bad girl… Dellal is from Brazil, the one place in which bombshells seem to be most abundant. She began modeling back in 2003, and became Mario Testino‘s muse quickly after (lucky girl).

Testino is not the only one who coveted Dellal’s unique looks, she has also been the face of Burberry, Agent Provocateur (replacing Kate Moss), and is currently featured in the ever-popular CK One ad campaign. She has also modeled in top fashion magazines such as Vogue Italia, Vogue España Joyas, i-D magazine, Interview and LOVE magazine. Not only is Dellal known as the bad-girl within the industry, she is also known for her glamourous punk hair and her rocker girl style. Another fun fact about Dellal is that she isn’t just a model, she is also a drummer for Thrush Metal. No wonder she has a strong interest in music outside of fashion.

If there’s one saying that seems to be ringing true for the Calvin Klein, it’s “Go big or go home.”  According to WWD, the company has plans of turning ck one into a full lifestyle brand with a global advertising campaign that encompasses all things social media, as well as, TV and print. The company is claiming it’s the largest digital initiative in history, but they’re declining to disclose the cost.

The new ads feature more than 30 models inside a “ck one” box laughing, dancing and working it in front of camera, which captures it all in quick shots. Directed by Steven Meisel, featured models include Abbey Lee Kershaw, Alice Dellal, Pixie Geldof, Fei Fei Sun, Ruby Aldridge, Sky Ferreira, and Lara Stone just to name a few.

The key purpose of the initiative, according to consulting creative director Fabien Baron, is to drive traffic to ckone.com which gives visitors an interactive online experience as they can even upload their own ck one version of the video to the site. In addition, the site will have a global store and mobile apps available for various smart-phones.

The full campaign will be revealed March 1st while a teaser will launch tomorrow on the ckone.com. If you’re near the LED billboards at Houston and Lafayette streets in New York, Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, or Subway Urban Panels, peep the new digital ads!
