With the recent debut of Armani Collezioni Cruise 2012 and Emporio Armani Resort 2012, I found myself asking, which of these two Armani collections do I like better? Clearly it’s easy to get your Armani’s confused, so if you don’t know the difference between the two lines, Collezioni is a high end sub-line with (very high) price points that falls below Giorgio Armani and tends to have a more formal feel. Emporio Armani (still out of most people’s price ranges) lies underneath Emporio and the line  specializes in ready-to-wear pieces.

Now lets get to the collections…

Next up we have Emporio Armani’s Resort looks which are much more youthful, while remaining sleek and practical. The Loose fitted pieces, soft colors and luxe fabrics (like silk) fall along the designer’s “City Oasis” theme for the collection.

I must say, Emporio Armani’s looks speak to me way more than Armani Collezioni…which do you prefer?

Oh la la…What girl doesn’t love Paris or Audrey Hepburn?…Or even better Audrey Hepburn IN Paris? The beloved actress is known for setting style trends with her classic movie characters and timeless LBD’s. The movie star’s feminine and stylish roles have helped pave the way for future fashion movies.

With this in mind, Vanity Fair dives into Hepburn’s iconic scenes from the film,”Funny Face” and recreates the moments with haute couture and model, Kaya Scodelario as the coveted role of Hepburn. Thanks to stylist, Michael Roberts the shoot leaves readers drooling over gowns from Chanel, Dior, Valentino, Armani, Gaultier and more….!

Georgio Armani kept his collection feeling light with two-button blazers and touches of blue and lime. Many of his linen slacks and sport coats have a sheen to them which we expect to turn into a menswear trend.

The theme for Dsquared2‘s collection was “American Gigolo,” which fittingly sums up their looks. Lots of unbuttoned garments, preppy attire, and shirtless men hit the runway. We liked their fitted blazers and button down shirts. Although, it’s up to the wearer to decide how far down to unbutton.

Moschino men’s RTW took a bold turn with bright colors and fitted tailoring, perfect for their youthful market. Keeping true to their rock and roll vibe, the brand presented colorful casual slacks and added hued accents to their garments.

The S/S 2010 ad campaign from Emporio Armani has us seeing double! The brand is making use of vivid hues and fun house-like cityscape backgrounds to engage consumers in their S/S collection. Is it working? We think so, the clothes don’t get lost in the busy backgrounds thanks to the bold poses. Photographer, Mario Sorrenti, clearly had this vision in mind when taking action shots of models, Anna Selezneva and Sean O’Pry.
