The model lit up the room in an orange bodycon dress making paparazzi lose their minds, but she was the only woman they had their eyes on. Mega actresses Uma Thurman, Naomi Watts, Chloe Moretz, and Ashley Greene were also front row in graceful minimalistic Calvin Klein dresses. Opposite the celebrities were power editors Anna Wintour, Hamish Bowles, and Grace Coddington. If that wasn’t enough, we also saw Bryan Boy seated behind Joe Zee, Brad Goreski chatting it up with Nina Garcia, and of course Rachel Zoe in attendance.

With a seated Lara everyone was wondering who was going to be opening the show. It was none other than the fresh faced Josefien Rodermans in a nude slip dress. Following her, models came out in an onslaught of nude pieces that echoed sexy lingerie. Strategically pleated skirts and collarless jackets complimented by t strap stilettos were seen throughout the show. It appears a trend creative director Francisco Costa is aiming to return are deep v necklines. Overall his minimalistic pieces all had a sprinkling of sexuality to them. Many of the looks easily translate from the office to the bedroom, yet in true CK form, they remain completely classy while doing so. Although, there are a few that clearly scream subtle seductress.

The CK minimalism followed suit all the way up to the hair and makeup looks donned by each model. Beauty artistry dream team, makeup artist Pat McGrath and hair stylist Guido Palau, were responsible for each model’s delicate appearance. And who were these stunning young beauties? Along with Rodermans, we spotted Nimue Smit, Emily Baker, Hanne Gaby Odiele, and Julia Nobis on the runway.

She looked gorgeous with her Calvins on, but Lara Stone looks even better with her clothes off (well, don’t all models?). The statuesque blonde is the face of Calvin Klein‘s new Naked Glamour underwear line. The black and white campaign was lensed by Patrick Demarchelier with creative direction by Fabien Baron. His last name should sound familiar, as his the founder and chief creative officer of mega advertising agency, Baron + Baron. For the shoot, Stone’s hair was pulled back, making her appears effortlessly sexy and chic.

Just when we thought the sexiest designer alive had done it all, we were mistaken…Tom Ford is finally venturing further out into the beauty world as he spoke to WWD‘s London bureau. And if it’s all about timing then Tom has got it because a very personal documentary on the designers is set to air on the Oprah Winfrey Network June 24th.

Ford emphasized the idea that his approach to beauty is simple and practical, similar to how he designs clothes. Ford also said he had wanted to do a color cosmetics line for quite some time now. “My intention was to do color cosmetics out of the gate, but not everyone else was convinced that I had a voice in color until the lipsticks started selling out again and again” in reference to the Private Blend Lip Color Collection that launched last year. Tom then went on to say that one must understand the architecture of the face lamenting on the importance of the eyebrows, “A nice thick brow is the key to a youthful look.”

In true “attention to detail” Ford fashion the collection will include “calligraphy tip brow pens are so precise, they can be used to draw on individual brow hair” as well as various products to contour and illuminate the face. And Tom, a fan of color,  says his lip glosses (such as “Lost Cherry”) aren’t the only item high in pigmentation. The look he was going for with the help of makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury was that “feminine aesthetic at Studio 54 circa 1978, the full glossy lips and thick brows, the sparkling eyes and the long flowing locks on characters including Jerry Hall, Lauren Hutton, Mariel Hemingway and Bianca Jagger.”

And who better to star in the ads than Ford himself and the gorgeous Lara Stone. The model landed a Calvin Klein exclusive a year ago but appears now that she has dumped Calvin Klein for Tom Ford, wise choice Lara. The ads, shot by duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot are not as revealing as prior ones but sure are sexy.

Looking as though he’s about to knock out the camera guy in this ck one ad, model Rob Evans isn’t someone you should fear, he’s actually someone you should take note of! This is exactly why he’s been chosen as this week’s Model Monday feature. A boxer turned model who can’t be beat (his fight record is 21-0), Evans is now scoring some serious shots in the modeling world; we actually spotted him at CK’s men’s show last fashion week. With distinct features, towering height (6’3) and a hard body, he can be found everywhere from runways to editorials. His rediculously awesome fit physique is a direct result of his rugged boxing career which is how the model first got noticed. In an interview, Evans said his “discovery moment” was at his boxing gym Spit ‘N’ Sawdust, “it’s a real old style building so a photographer came location hunting, saw me and asked whether I wanted to take a couple of pictures with him, and it went from there.”

Shortly after being discovered, he walked for Givenchy‘s S/S 2011 show and his appearance launched his foray into modeling, but his boxing roots haven’t been left behind. You can even watch him warm up his muscles with some fight moves before his ck one shoot.

Although he might appear to have a tough guy exterior, Evans, who hails from the UK and is part Irish and part African-American, is really just a giant softy… For some of his editorial work he posed with a cuddly lion in L’Officiel Hommes, got close to Lisa Love’s daughter for Glamour and glossed up for LOVE.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am huge fan of “500 Days” and Joseph Gordon Levitt (I mean duh)…but what I loved even more besides the relationship that Levitt had with Summer was the relationship he had with his younger sister Rachel, played by the hilarious Chloe Moretz. There was also her role in 2010′s “Kick-Ass” where she played a tiny super-hero with a mighty mean punch! The majority of her roles have been very tom-boy based, which why I think she looks absolutely stunning in Nylon‘s editorial rightfully titled “Girl Talk” shot by Jennifer Rocholl. Looks were pulled by stylist Michelle Reneau that included brands such as Calvin Klein, Prada and Burberry. I’m not going to lie; but for a 14 year old, Moretz is pretty cool.

First things first, no this lovely model is NOT related to Britney Spears or Jamie Lynn Spears. I originally thought the pop star had a long lost sister the public didn’t know about, but I guess that wasn’t the case (thank goodness). So without further ado, let me introduce this week’s feature for Model Monday, Kendra Spears. See, she doesn’t look anything like the Spears sisters! Ms. Kendra Spears reigns from right here in the United States—Seattle, Washington to be exact. She began modeling back in 2008 when she was entered in Ford Models contest, Supermodel of the World. Spears debuted during New York Fashion Week when she walked the runway for Isaac Miazrahi, L’Wren Scott and Ports 1961. She then debuted during Milan Fashion Week, walking for John Richmond, Gucci, Costume National, Christian Lacroix, Hermès, Lanvin and Valentino. What a way to kick off your career!

Currently, Spears is the face of the Spring/Summer 2011 ad campaigns for Diane Von Furstenberg, Calvin Klein and The Limited. You can also find her in the April 2011 issue of Allure magazine. According to New York Magazine, when Spears is not posing for the camera or strutting her stuff down the runway, she likes to watch Seinfield, crochet, ride her bike and take pictures! She is most known for her amazing long legs and that Cindy Crawford-like mole atop her perfect pout. Aside from have similar features, perhaps Spears will also have a similar modeling career as Crawford and follow in her footsteps. Hello It-girl, and step aside Britney!

It’s no secret that Lara Stone is quite the “it girl” when it comes to fashion. She’s graced hundreds of runways, is the current face of Calvin Klein and now stars in the latest issue of W in the editorial rightfully titled “One of a Kind”. Shot by Craig McDean, Lara rocks luxe numbers picked by stylist Alex White. Her voluminous hair by Eugene Souleiman which is totally in only compliments the smokey eye that Lucia Pieroni created. There is no shortage of glitz and glamour or sequins and sparkles in the spread. My favorite pieces are definitely the Dolce & Gabbana bodysuit (above) as well as the Chanel Haute Couture gown below!

Team MyFDB was lucky enough to venture out of the office and over to the California Market Center in beautiful Downtown Los Angeles to check out tradeshows, Transit and Focus. First up we peeped some shoe porn at Transit, also known as the LA Shoe Show.

We saw awesome looks from Jeffrey Campbell (no pics were allowed at their booth or the majority of the others), but be prepared for some rad high chunky shoes in pastels such as pink and green for fall. We also noticed gold studded pumps in rich jewel tones at Miss Me? shoes and were excited to see loads of bright girly florals at Betsey Johnson. Why thank you, I will take one in each color; I’m a size 8 in case you’re wondering…

Among the other brands we saw were Steve Madden, who was all about high platforms and really cool loafers in glitter with rocker stud accents! We loved the simplicity of Calvin Klein shoes with nuetrals colors along with L.A.M.B., who also stuck to shoes in neutral tones along with loads of leopard print. The only pop of color we spotted at their booth were red hot pumps in leather and suede! And of course, there was no shortage when it came a supply of boots for fall- these ranged from heeled and girly to tough and studded.

Not going to lie, but our feet and closet is totally lusting for a little love after seeing all the shoe porn at Transit!

If there’s one saying that seems to be ringing true for the Calvin Klein, it’s “Go big or go home.”  According to WWD, the company has plans of turning ck one into a full lifestyle brand with a global advertising campaign that encompasses all things social media, as well as, TV and print. The company is claiming it’s the largest digital initiative in history, but they’re declining to disclose the cost.

The new ads feature more than 30 models inside a “ck one” box laughing, dancing and working it in front of camera, which captures it all in quick shots. Directed by Steven Meisel, featured models include Abbey Lee Kershaw, Alice Dellal, Pixie Geldof, Fei Fei Sun, Ruby Aldridge, Sky Ferreira, and Lara Stone just to name a few.

The key purpose of the initiative, according to consulting creative director Fabien Baron, is to drive traffic to ckone.com which gives visitors an interactive online experience as they can even upload their own ck one version of the video to the site. In addition, the site will have a global store and mobile apps available for various smart-phones.

The full campaign will be revealed March 1st while a teaser will launch tomorrow on the ckone.com. If you’re near the LED billboards at Houston and Lafayette streets in New York, Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, or Subway Urban Panels, peep the new digital ads!

It’s a bittersweet day here in New York as we bid adieu to fashion week until September. With the sun shinning and the weather unusually warm, I headed to the final show on MyFDB’s agenda: Calvin Klein‘s women’s wear collection designed by creative director, Francisco Costa. With the CK men’s show being a huge hit, I was excited to find out what was in store for their female customers this fall.

Upon arrival, paparazzi was already swarming in anticipation of celebrity arrivals: Zoe Saldana, Kate Bosworth, and Kerry Washington. Photographers had a real field day inside because the trio was seated together front row. While waiting to get in the venue, I spotted a sleuth of fashion’s heavy hitters making their way to builing including: Grace Coddington, Anna Dello Russo, Joe Zee, Terry Richardson, Andre Leon Talley, and Georgia May Jagger (who were seated together).

Once the show commenced the audience was treated to grey dresses, which had a bit of a youthful appeal with detailing around the collar. The collection progressed to showcase stone technical silk satin pieces that carried a shine to them. Keeping in true Calvin Klein fashion, each piece was structured perfectly for their modern consumer. I also swooned over alpaca fur, metallic pieces in gold, and multiple black silk items. I felt like there was a bit of mystery with Francisco Costa’s designs, especially with the large textured coats which are perfect for hiding a seductive metallic dress underneath. Mystery and surprise is how I’d sum up this collection- conservative and stylish garments mixed with more form-fitting and attention getting pieces.

Models spotted working the Calvin Klein included: Arizona Muse, Lara Stone, Nimue Smit, Mirte Maas, Kasia Wrobel, Juju Ivanyuk, and Merethe Hopland to name a few.
