Well at first glance anyways…and then upon closer inspection I realized it was Taylor Swift. Is it just me or does Swift go from looking 17 to 30 each time I see her? In actuality, she’s really just 21. Covergirl did her wrong and then did her right and now Teen Vogue made a young Swift look like an older lady (again) a la Nicole Kidman. Do you see the similarity as well?

However the latest ad is just so much better. Swift looks lovely, youthful and actually happy to be in front of a camera…instead of scared. What do you think?

From the good to the bad and the ugly, the editors of the MyFDBlog love to cover all things fashion related because that’s what MyFDB is about! So after the best ads, it’s only natural that we present to you the worst ads of the season where we literally sat at our desks asking ourselves, “what in the world?”

Then there was innocent unknowing Taylor Swift who posed for Covergirl…but unfortunately Covergirl left Swift looking not so adorable and instead more awkward than ever. Was she scared of the camera?

First up, as if the Kardashian clan wasn’t hungry for attention already…it seems lovebirds Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom felt the urge to attract even more attention when they decided to create a fragrance…together. The ad for Unbreakable by Khole & Lamar (such a creative title) is  annoying, just like the duo that made it.

And last but certainly not least was the video ad campaign for Ralph Lauren’s The Big Pony Collection featuring famous blogger Rumi Neely and her beau. If there was anything we learned from this video, it’s that bloggers who can’t act…should just blog…seriously.

If you are a daily follower of ours on Twitter, then you know that we love “Modern Family” and one day hope be as lucky as Claire Dunphy who is married to the adorable and hilariously charming Phil Dunphy. Among my favorite characters, although each one resembles some member of my family), is the outspoken Gloria, played by beautiful actress Sofia Vergara. I remember watching her on telenovellas (Spanish soap operas) with my grandma what seems like ages ago… When I found out she was going to be on “Modern Family”, I couldn’t help but love her character even more. Apparently I am not the only one, because Vergara has signed to be the latest face of cosmetics brand, Covergirl.

Veragara broke the news via her Facebook & Twitter where she tweeted the photo (above) and said, “My BIG news!! So happy to be the new covergirl!!!” I can’t wait to see what the ads will look like! Stunning, I’m sure!

I know these ads were released a while back, but I still can’t help but cringe/feel bad for T. Swift whenever I come across images of her as Covergirl‘s newest face. This young doe-eyed girl just looks lost. I feel like the campaign tried to make Swift look older than her age, instead of sticking to the (obvious) fact that she is a youthful girl. Her eyeliner is scarily intense and what’s up with the weird breeze and pose? It’s as if she was caught mid-pose… All of this just makes me sad for Swift becuase she really is much prettier and cuter than Covergirl gives her credit for…Need an example?
