The bold editorial entitled “We Are The Champions,” shot by Ellen von Unwerth, features harsh contrasts, body conscious fashion, long locks, warrior inspiration, and athletic undertones. A slight subversiveness throughout the photo narrative highlights Renn’s dominating female role. A changing chameleon with a decisively strong personality, she wears the elaborate fashions rather than letting the fashion wear her. Creative designers such as Maison Margiela, Roberto Cavalli, Pucci, and Herve Leger are featured in the editorial as well as extensive use of the outlandish and decadent jewelry designs of Glynneth B. The photos speak volumes in their intensity and captivating nature and that is exactly why Schon has declared “We Are The Champions,” a sure winner.

That’s right, the singer turned Chanel muse turned designer graces the latest cover shot by David Slijper. I can’t really pin what’s weird, but Lily Allen just doesn’t look like herself and the same goes for the matching editorial titled “Monday’s Child”. Don’t get me wrong, I love the vintage like looks pulled by stylist Anne-Marie Curtis, but the wardrobe looks more like Allen than Allen herself. What do you think?

First there was former plus size model Crystal Renn doing work on a raw steak and loads of seafood for Vogue Paris last year. Then there was the innocent Lea Michele of “Glee” playfully licking a lollipop in a scandalous editorial for GQ.

And who says models don’t eat?! The adorable Lindsey Wixson stuffed her face with spaghetti for Vogue Japan.

Apparently Wixson isn’t the only one who likes Italian…So do Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce, the duo behind Dolce & Gabbana as seen in a recent issue of 10 Men. Yum?

And last but not least, a big thanks to Richardson for ruining one of my all time favorite desserts as he shoots American fashion designer Michael Kors getting quite friendly with an apple pie for Harper’s Baazar.

What do you think? In my opinion, I’m over the whole Terry Richardson aesthetic, or rather…I never was really all that in to it to begin with…I think it’s time to try something different, Terry.

Fellow fashion site StyleCaster is making waves with model Crystal Renn! For one part of their collaboration, Renn gets in touch with her playful surfer girl side- hey, we all have one! Rockin’ vintage-looking swimwear and a swim cap, which covers her crazy hair, Renn prances and poses with a Chanel surfboard. I mean, if I was going learn to surf, I’d hope it be on a Chanel board too!

This short video, directed by Dusan Reljin and Hilde Pettersen Reljin, captures the model in her natural habitat- in front of the lens. StyleCaster even asked Renn about her thoughts on hitting up the silver screen where she responded:

“I think that I absolutely could explore acting. I think that in a way I already do that. What you do as a model is you’re acting in a still photograph, you’re still, you’re showing emotion and you have to hold it but as an actress it’s free flowing. I think that what I am going to have to learn in order to be an actress is forgetting the camera and what you’re taught as a model is to always be aware of the camera.”

Lately, plastic surgery has become a trend on the rise and I’m not just talking about the basic implants or brow lifts, people going under the knife are getting extremely creative. Hello, remember our blog post about “toe-besity,” it’s just weird. Now, in the latest issue of Vogue Paris the editorial titled, “La Pantherose” features model Crystal Renn going under a knife, but fictionally in front of Tom Ford‘s lens.

I love what fashion editor, Carine Roitfeld did with the entire editorial and how exactly did makeup artist, Orlando Pita get Renn’s lips to look like that!? Although, the images are sensual and glamorous, they are also sad, eerie, and definitely creepy. But Renn, oddly enough, seems to be in her element of “pushing the envelope” as a model…remember her last editorial with Terry Richardson?

Model Crystal Renn stars in the editorial titled Festin for the latest issue of Vogue Paris. Styled by Carine Roitfeld, Renn rocks the latest in plush sweaters and a plethora of jewels by Chopard, Cartier and Chanel. Renn, most notably as a model turned author, wrote the book titled Hungry: A Young Model’s Story of Appetite, Ambition, and the Ultimate Embrace of Curves which chronicles Renn’s own personal story of weight struggle within the industry. In controversial yet true Terry Richardson style, the editorial features a glamorous Renn not so glamorously feasting. Since the launch of her book, Renn has fiercely re-entered the fashion world and we could not be happy more about it!
