A twist on the Twitter meme “Tuesday Shoesday” where everyone shows off their latest haute foot find, we opted to give our kicks a boot with this Details editorial, which does just that, but in a pretty way. Yellow balloons and hands coming out of a purple wall help show off current men’s footwear trends for fall for the “Get The Boot” shoot. We adore the colorful creative display of the shoes, which are obviously more bulky and sturdy then say our delicate Louboutins or Choos. Men’s footwear is typically thought of boring compared to our sexy stilettos, but you have to “hand” it to photographer Lacey for catching the shoes in a new light.

Many popular men’s publications only come out twice a year, so when their issues make their way to MyFDB’s office, it’s quite exciting! I know a few girls who let out a squeal when James Franco‘s covers for Vogue Hommes Paris and GQ Style UK showed up (even though Franco’s overdramatic). Kanye West literally put his money  where his mouth is for his V Man shoot, while Sir Elton John partied with Pop. I loved seeing Tom Ford yelling on Another Man‘s cover, while Inglorious Bastards star Christoph Waltz took leopard seriously for GQ Style Germany.

Now for some standout May monthly men’s mags…Here we have Jeff Bridges rockin’ out with Esquire, and  Prince Harry (unlike his brother, he’s not married)  gives GQ British a royal touch. Mark Ruffalo keeps it casual in denim on the cover of Details, while Zach Galifianakis is glittering up GQ! Rob Lowe also surfed onto the cover of Vanity Fair.

Which cover man are you most excited for?

Shot by Norman Jean Roy, Joe Jonas (I think) graces the latest cover of Details, but he looks different, errr rather something is missing… Could it be his two other siblings (also known as the rest of the Jonas Brothers)? Or his (weird) haircut? Or the fact that his shirt collar is popped…(Why?)

In all honesty, the editorial titled “Joe Cool” just makes me uncomfortable. It’s like watching a younger sibling go through puberty and become a grown man. And it looks like Zac Efron isn’t the only one who has been hitting the gym…Joe suddenly has grown man-muscles himself. Hmm…perhaps they should take the Biebs with them next time? And what’s up with the tank top and leather jacked pulled by stylist Andreas Kokkino? What exactly is the editorial trying to convey here? That Joe Jonas is tough…alone…so he doesn’t need his bros? All puns aside, Joe’s style ship-is-a-sinking…Let’s just call this one an S.O.S shall we? (Yes, I made reference to their 2007 hit tune, who says I can’t be witty and brutally honest at the same time?).

Look, all I am saying is I miss the days of the cute young silly Joe. Watch the video below in case you don’t know what what I am talking about. And as for Joe, chill out…no need to rush looking or getting older.

Vanessa Hudgens, who’s known for her good girl Disney image, decided to take her sex appeal over the deep end with this Details magazine editorial simply titled, “V”! That’s “V” for Vanessa, creative right?

You don’t know have to be a genius to get this shoot either…The concept is centered around Hudgens as she’s placed in or near seductive settings- chair in front of water, water being poured on her, and the standard sexy bedroom shot. I get girls want to feel sexy and beautiful, but there’s a fine line between trashy and classy, you can guess which side I think Hudgens falls on here.

Now, I’m not bashing the starlet; I just don’t think this shoot reflects her natural beauty at all!…This rings especially true when you compare the above shots to her InStyle, “Miss Independent” shoot, which also released this month.  I’d much rather see Hudgens classed up in designer duds, rather than stripped down looking like a hot mess.

Yes, it’s winter but the latest cover of Details magazine is quite hot! Okay, I admit it, I have never seen a full episode of “Glee” but after viewing the editorial rightfully titled “Hot For Teacher” I am thinking of tuning in and becoming a full-fledged “gleek”! How gorgeous is Matthew Morrison!? Shot by Norman Jean Roy and styled by Andreas Kokkino, I ask…is it legal for a teacher (on television) to be this attractive!? Although I’ve never really had a crush on a teacher, I totally get how this could be the case with Mr. Morrison himself!
