When word spread about Lagerfeld’s glacial sized fashion show, it hit the internet like wildfire causing Chanel to rocket to the top of the Runway Buzz-o-meter. Created by marketing group Zeta Interactive, the Buzz-o-meter tracked and ranked internet buzz surrounding twenty top brands as their shows were unveiled during Fashion Week.  It seemed like Chanel caused the most internet buzz with their icy show. Before the frosty debut they were in tenth place on the meter (not bad considering they had yet to show).  Rounding out the top five brands is Stella McCartney, Balmain, Lanvin, and Nina Ricci. The meter ranks by comments  (positive and negative) and how often they were featured on blogs to determine the level of online buzz that each brand received. The red and green squares indicate if the label has moved up or down vs the week before. The MyFDB launch party is now taking place at the SL, in the Meatpacking District between 9th and 10th Ave.  And if this thing gets any bigger, it will have to go to the streets.  So, while I can't promise you will get in, this will be THE party to attend.  Whether you want to sip cocktails in the front or party in the back is up to you. Either way, we plan to accommodate you. 

For most people, this is a time to put away your dreams of being the next Marc Jacobs, leading a design house like Louis Vuitton.  Neither will you grace any stage, cat walk, or other semi-straight line where people care about what you are wearing, or not wearing in the case of Brooklyn Decker (for instance).  The disposable camera you invariably would have purchased at the airport will not get you a Clio or a seat next to Annie at Vanity Fair.

No, for you it's one eye on Twitter for those up-to-the-minute posts about who's wearing, revealing, announcing, etc. and the other scouring one of hundreds of blog entries for images and info on what's happening.  If only there was a way to be there, in the middle of it all.  If only someone would whisk you away to fairyland to be one of the important people.  Dress you, style you, give you entrance to exclusive parties.  Oh, if only…
