Going for a swim in the Amazon is all part of the job for Gisele Bündchen, who has literally taken over the July issue of Vogue Brasil. Starring in not one, not two, but FOUR editorials for the publication we get to see different sides of the Brasilian born beauty. Did you know she was discovered in her home country while eating at McDonalds? I wonder if she still partakes in the joy of their french fries? Regardless, she’s certainly getting some joy out of working with photographers Patrick Demarchelier and Jacques Dequeker for her Vogue Brasil takeover.

In the editorial titled, “Linhas Do Tempo” (Time Line) we meet a formal Bündchen wearing vibrant gowns followed by a surprising sailor look for the last shot.

Next in “A Flor De Pele” (The Flower Skin), the delicate model tries on a few contemporary bathing suits in this outdoor jungle-esque shoot. Balancing on twisting tree trunks, the contrast between her soft skin and the rough bark really sticks out.

Bündchen changes into white for “Como Uma Deusa” (As Goddess). Her ivory pieces are complimented by oversized gold jewelry and her hair is put up in a high ponytail, she almost doesn’t look like herself, which is why this shoot sticks out most in my eyes.

Lastly, in her “Survivor” themed shoot, Bundchen gears up for the wild with earth toned clothes. Her ready for safari look is casual, yet her eyes remain seductive.

Who needs Victoria’s Secret when you can have your own runway and sultry lingerie collection? Welcome to the Gisele Bundchen show! That’s exactly what the model’s doing with her newest endeavor. At 26 she shed her angel wings given to her by Victoria’s Secret and now at 30 she’s designing and modeling for her own undergarment collection not-so-humbly titled, “Gisele Bundchen Intimates”.

The line is a partnership between the model and Hope, a Brazilian company. Clearly there’s major dough to be made in lingerie; especially in a destination like Sao Paulo, Brazil where Bundchen debuted the line yesterday. Before the show she said, “Life is made of dreams and I’m very happy to announce that now you will know the Brazilian intimate.” If you’re excited to “get intimate” with Gisele, her collection is set to go on sale May 25. But, is it just me or does her presentation resemble a scaled down version of the wild Victoria’s Secret spectacular?

We adore Victoria’s Secret Angel Miranda Kerr, who quickly bounced back after giving birth to her son Flynn. She recently tweeted this photo of her breastfeeding her son on set for a shoot…talk about dedication to work and family.

The statuesque Gisele Bunchen has a one year old son Benjamin, whom she posed with in an April 2010 shoot for Vogue. I hope Tom Brady is kickin’ off his Uggs to give his beautiful family a memorable Mother’s Day.

Natalia Vodianova has given birth to not one, but THREE kids…talk about being a supermom and supermodel! She posed with her three children for the cover of Russian Vogue in 2007.

I’m pretty sure I’d be sweaty too if I took a trip to a hot Middle Eastern city, but Gisele’s armpit’s aren’t hot for the reason you’re thinking…The supermodel’s H&M ad campaign was dubbed “too racy” for the Middle East and layers had to be photoshopped into her “revealing” shoot. Now Gisele Bundchen‘s original shots are hardly as scandalous as you’re thinking and some of the photoshop changes are barely noticeable. Quick fixes included shirts being added underneath low-cut spaghetti strap dresses and a few necklines and armpit areas were covered up so the model wasn’t showing so much skin.

However, in one of the shots it looked like the retoucher added a tee shirt that’s a little too skin tight, almost like it was painted on. Actually, it was painted on, just through a computer instead of real life. A less glaring change is from the campaign image below; can you spot the difference? There’s only two slight changes- the white shirt’s neckline and fabric added to the back of the shirt.

Now according to Elle.com, Miss Bündchen herself is leaving behind her feminine side (Remember Roberto Cavalli’s 2010 F/W campaign? It didn’t get anymore glamorous than that) and channeling more of a masculine and androgynous look for Balenciaga‘s Spring 2011 campaign. Shot by the talented Steven Meisel, Gisele rocks a tougher look than usual and I love the change! From her bob cut and side-swept bangs to her leather vest and suit pants, Gisele knows how to make any look, look more than just good!

Gisele Bündchen does it once again! Vogue Brasil features Bündchen in their latest editorial Corpo Presente, and she looks gorgeous as ever! One cannot help but notice her signature luscious locks that are reminiscent of  Victoria’s Secret runways and catalogs. Photographer, Jaques Dequeker captures Bündchen’s effortless natural beauty amazingly well in each photograph. In interviews models always talk about that magical moment when they were “discovered” whether it be in the market, going to school, or walking around town- someone noticed these young girls and approached them about the idea of modeling. Of course, going from talking to a talent scout to a full fledged international modeling career is a long process, but it’s how many young girls are introduced to the modeling realm.

Who are the reps finding them? Talent scouts like Alisson Chornak, make a living venturing into rural areas of Brazil and talking to local girls about the prospect of modeling. The New  York Times took time to follow Chornak around as he scouts for the next Gisele Bündchen or Alessandra Ambrosio (both from Brazil) in the video linked below. Chornak provides a unique glimpse into how modeling can drastically change lives for these rural beauties.
