I’m thinking Daphne Groeneveld looks part Pebbles (from The Flintstones) and part tribal raver in this Numéro editorial, where’s she’s piling on the accessories and dark eye makeup. Simply titled, “Wild” this shoot is eclectic, bizarre and beautiful all at the same time. Groeneveld goes in front of photographer Greg Kadel‘s lens as a fierce and savage character with an array of zany ensembles.

The image above is one of my favorites from the 14 page editorial. Crazy accessories, a wild headband, tribal necklaces, and big hair standout even though this shot isn’t in color. Plus, there are some neon colored accents which make the model look like a goddess-like. Groeneveld also appears on the mag’s cover wearing a very elaborate head piece.

Rocking a large bolero hat and vintage style garb, Model Monday favorite, Hailey Clauson poses bedside for this “Memory Motel” editorial. Shot by Greg Kadel and styled by Patti Wilson we encounter Clauson in variety of headwear and high fashion outfits. Some of the shots have a rich avant-garde feel, while others echo an essence of romance in them…like she’s waiting in the hotel for her hot date to call from the lobby, perhaps?

I love that she’s too tall to comfortably sit on that teeny tiny twin bed. There’s something about this shot, whether it’s the awkwardness of her being too big for the bed or those long white pants, that makes this image have a very peculiar feel that I love.

The shot above shows off the more delicate side of the shoot, where we see Clauson act much more feminine than some of the other more masculine shots. With a bold orange Prada stole and a silver jacket topped with a large red hat you have to wonder where is she going and do people actually dress like that?!

Have you ever tried to take pictures at night and then realized that it is one difficult task? I sure have! I always somehow manage to get these insanely cool but annoying streaks across the photo from the bright lights, which then lead me to believe it was was either a ruined picture, or a very conceptual looking image that I could brag to my friends about. Well it turns out that Numéro magazine doesn’t think such photography is ruined; they did a whole editorial in it. “Chinatown” was shot by the amazingly talented Greg Kadel.

The best part of this photo shoot has got to be the wardrobe! Who knew that various animal prints piled on top of each other could look so good?? The accessories for the spread are very bold, very extreme, and very, very cool. If Lady Gaga and Bryan Boy got together and had accessory babies, they would be in this editorial. I have decided that the editorial’s stylist, Patti Wilson has inspired me to try new and exciting things with the bold prints and exciting accessories I have in my wardrobe.
