A word that easily describes Prada’s beauty look- “striking.” Verigated  and multicolored ombre expressed a new take on a hair trend that has been making waves this season.

3. Jean Paul Gaultier

The girls at Gaultier made the biggest statement for sure. painted on ombre. The look provided a fun and quirky accompanyment to Gaultier’s daring collection.

Are those flowers in your hair or are you just happy to see me? Supermodel cover girls were beautified for a makeup and hair spread in Vogue Paris. Simply titled, “Cover Girls” (which is what they all are) readers get up close with the faces of Natasha Poly, Isabeli Fontana, Izabel Goulart, Karolina Kurkova, Arizona Muse (pictured), and Hanaa Ben Abdesslem. The shoot may remind of those days when you used to play dress up and get all fancy with your hair and makeup. The girls each take on a lively persona for photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.

Cosmetic-wise nude lips and faces are seen throughout a few of the shots and sultry orange pout makes its way into two shots, which we love. Thank you makeup artist, Lisa Butler.

Watching the evolution of Harry Potter‘s Hermione Granger through the years has been a fashionable ride. Known in real life as Emma Watson, the actress has done some major ad campaigns (Burberry) and modeling roles which have made her a fashion icon of sorts. Watson shed her long locks after filming wrapped for the final Harry Potter film and now she’s taking the world by storm. In her latest shoot by Rankin, Watson appears both serious and silly for this Elle UK editorial called “It’s a New Life“. In Watson’s new life she’s a student and the face of Lancome’s scent Midnight Rose. Not too shabby…and far less stressful than the wizardry of Hogwarts.

I don’t know if it’s because Halloween is just around the corner, but these super sleek hair brained styles from this issue of BlackBook magazine are out of this world! Well, actually…they’re out of this decade! Hair stylist Shlomi Mor clearly had some fun on the job creating these looks for this editorial perfectly titled, “The Glossed Generation” featuring the striking Anna Zanovello, who only gets more radiant thanks to her new ‘dos. Photographer Sarah Silver captured all of the hair-tastic head shots. The contrast between the wacky hair and the pastel pink lines in the background give the editorial a more dynamic feel. Oh and if you were wondering what products were used to create these flashy looks they were all Redken.

Her photo shoot with Los Angeles Confidential shows off her classic look, but we know the secret behind actress Mila Kunis‘ perfectly tousled tresses. That would be the lovely Mara Roszak, this A-list hair stylist is also behind the hot heads of many other starlets and after seeing Kunis’ shoot with the mag, I had to go back to our interview with Roszak to refresh myself on her recommended hair care tactics. Her key advice?
“Be gentle with your hair. I try to not use too many products that can dry out the hair, or give it a harsh texture. Deep conditioning your hair once a week is key.” she told us. Note taken!

Back to the editorial, I really like the nude simplicity of Kunis’ cover shot for the publication. Given it’s their summer issue and they typically pick shots with bolder colors, I’m glad they they kept it simple because less is more, especially in the summertime.

Good shoes are usually worth a good fight. With this in mind, Vogue Italia Accessory shows off some of the latest trends in footwear in their annual “Portuguese Soul” editorial. Clunky wooden soles with cutouts are definitely trending in the shoot, hence why there’s some hair pulling going on. Meanwhile, the guys in the show off shoes that are casual, but have some flair. Another bonus? There’s no shortage of abs in this editorial either.

Ever since seeing the brightly hued tresses at Jeremy Scott’s NYFW show, I’ve pretty much had colored hair on the brain. So, when I came across this “My Soul is Rock & Roll” editorial in the winter issue of Qvest magazine, I immediately swooned over the wavy red-orange locks on model, Hartje Andresen. I’ve always loved when hair has pops of color in it, but I’m not about to bleach and damage my naturally dark mane to make it happen for myself…alas, I’m happy to live vicariously through others.

Along with the hair, I’m also swooning over the shoot’s wardrobe pulled by stylist, Stephanie Canisus. Featuring dresses by the likes of Calvin Klein Collection, Etro, and Versace along with a sleuth glamorous of Louis Vuitton clutches, there’s no shortage of high fashion in this shoot!

Photographed by Roman Goebel, my favorite shot from the editorial is the above with Andresen giving a signature model pose with two hands on her hip whilst leaning forward. The yellow Versace dress perfectly accents the red orange hair, making for a dynamic color combination.
