Being 90 and not having a wrinkle on your face is a pretty large claim, but this is fashion, where anything goes! L’Officiel cast a fresh faced model to play the part of an elder 90-year-old woman for the editorial “90 Et Pas Une Ride.” That’s French for “90 And Not A Wrinkle.” The shoot feels like a regal affair as it appears to take place in some sort of historic estate. Then again, I imagine a wealthy Parisian woman in her nineties with a strong affinity for high fashion probably lives just like this.

The only gripe on this editorial? If you’re going for an elder aesthetic, then maybe use a more mature model? These days with awesome airbrushing no one will ever get wrinkles. We also learn that when in doubt of regal old lady poses, stick your head in a chandelier and point your pinky finger high like it’s tea time!

With swimsuit season here, I can’t help but become obbsessed over bathing suits and the fact that it’s finally warm enough to hop in the car and head to the beach! The latest editorial in L’Officiel rightfully titled “Coup de Soleil” (which means “Sunburn”…it just sounds so much nicer in French) proves to us that there is more to style than that boring two-piece. Shot by Marcin Tyszka with looks pulled by stylist Vanessa Bellugeon, model Kelsey Van Mook rocks some amazing two pieces with accessories to match (as in the much needed floppy hat and oversized sunglasses). How adorable is the two-piece below? Who says you have to match, the (fashionably) brave can totally get away with mixing it up!

And that’s not all, as of late one-piece suits have suddenly become cool…I love the suit above by Princess Tam Tam. So what are you waiting for? Grab some sun-block, a floppy hat, a cute suit and head to the beach because before you know it fall will be here and we will all be lusting for comfy jackets and warm boots!

In this French editorial titled, “Une Pointe De Zabriskie” we meet two models who are lost in a dust storm of love. Zabriskie Point is actually not too far from Death Valley, CA where the weather is known to drastically heat up. Models Anna Speckhart and Ryan Curry do some heating up of their own for this shoot with photographer Mason Poole for L’Officiel.

The editorial shows off summer styles pulled by Vanessa Bellugeon. I find it ironic that the duo was styled mostly in white clothes to roll around and canoodle in the dusty desert.

I get it! Fruits and flowers are in for spring and summer. I feel like every magazine I’ve come across (which is a lot) has an editorial featuring these trends, along with stripes and color-blocking. At least L’Officiel has put their own twist on the popular trends by combining a baby cheetah, a few bold backgrounds, and some nudity in this “L’Indomptable” editorial shot by photographer Mason Poole. Indomptable translates into English as indomitable meaning, impossible to defeat or discourage. With the energy model Camille Pourcheresse showcases, I’d say it be pretty hard to get her spirits down. Plus, she’s using a banana phone which is just awesome!

Even though I’m getting older, playing dress up has yet to lose its appeal. The excitment of putting together different themed outfits never goes out of style–no matter what age you are. In the latest issue of L’Officiel we see model Alexina Graham take on new characters and she’s outfitted into the roles of an a 80′s rocker, a Hollywood starlet, an army officer, a tired traveler and more.

My two favorite images of Graham, shot by photographer Marcin Tyszka, are shown here. First she’s decked out head to toe in eighties fashions (complete with roller-skates of course). Then she goes glam with a rose-gold body suit complete and with yellow heels–love it!

Would you ever pair orange lips with frizzy hair? Probably not. But, I love when two things I’d never expect to collide find their way to each other. That’s exactly what happened in this “Moditation” editorial from L’Officiel. Photographed by Mason Poole, model Imogen Newton‘s hair reaches new heights of frizziness that not even John Frieda himself couldn’t “Frizz Ease.”

In each shot Newton’s draped in white garments, but there’s always a pop of orange color on her lips or on another item of clothing she’s wearing. This season’s “It Skirt” even makes an appearance! Forget Pantone’s honeysuckle, I really feel like orange is going to be the color of the spring and summer!

I’m wondering if L’Officiel came up with the term, “Moditation” by blending together modern and meditation? After all, the shoot does have a crisp modern feel, but also has a calming meditation like zen with the use of white.

Although it’s majorly snowing on the East coast, I can say with almost 100% percent certainty that I would take warm temperatures over cold ones any day! I mean come one, it’s the middle of January and I have proudly showed up to the office in a dress and sandals! That being said, it’s also safe to say that I have no issues living vicariously through model Sophie Vlaming who plays in the snow and is all bundled up for the latest issue of L’Officiel. Shot by Milo Keller and Julien Gallico and styled by Vanessa Bellugeon, Vlaming rocks the latest thick coats, fur and boots by brands such as Moncler, Fendi and Burberry! Being cold has never looked so fun!
