It’s obvious that if the Dior brand were a person, he would be quite the globe-trotter. When actress Marion Cottilard was named one of the faces of Dior handbags her first campaign was shot by Peter Lindbergh, as she stood on ledge of the ever famous Eiffel Tower. The next season she and Dior fled to Shanghai and she was photographed by Steven Klein with handsome model Alexandre Manning. Now Cotillard and Dior are at it again but this time in London. Shot by the talented Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, Cotillard channels more of the Brit-hip look with thick brows, white eye shadow, winged dark liner, and mod-like nails. We can’t help but wonder where else she and Dior will travel next! Australia, South Africa, Tahiti? The list goes on!

Actress and fashionista Marion Cotillard graces the cover of Elle Paris this month. Shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott with makeup by Lucia Pieroni, an almost unrecognizable Cotillard poses for the camera. Decked out in all black and dark eyes and lips, Cotillard shows us that her versatility goes beyond the big screen.

Marion Cotillard on playing in the Expressionist-Surrealist band Yodelice fronted by composer Mazim Nucci: “I play the bass guitar, keyboard, and tambourine—I’m their one-woman band and all-purpose maid,” Cotillard explains. She’s taken to appearing with Yodelice on tour, dressed as a man, under “Simone,” the name of her maternal grandmother. “It’s pretty refreshing to be in a situation where the spotlight is on someone else.”

On her Oscar winning portrayal of Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose: When the film was over, she couldn’t shake Piaf. Her hairline and her eyebrows were still shaved. She fled with Canet to Peru and the Amazon; she went to Bora Bora with her best friend, Geraldine. “It was there that I found myself articulating why Piaf was still living inside me. She had been abandoned as a child; her greatest fear was to be alone. Now I didn’t want to abandon her. I finally was able to say, ‘She’s been dead for 40 years; it’s OK.’”
