In case you haven’t seen the movie Friends with Benefits you can catch the abridged version in the August issue of Elle, where the film’s stars Mila Kunis & Justin Timberlake reenact their sexual chemistry for the camera. You can pretty much guess the outcome of the romantic comedy, but I won’t give it away; instead let’s dive into the on screen couple’s seductive appeal. First, there’s Kunis, who looks ravishing with her perfectly tousled bedroom hair by Ken O’Rourke. Then there’s Timberlake, who I sometimes can’t look at without having N’SYNC songs stuck in my head, regardless photographer Carter Smith did an awesome job of capturing the boy band frontman-turned solo act-turned actor-turned model (you follow?).

Oh, and who styled this fantabulous shoot? It was none other than the charismatic Mr. Joe Zee (remember our interview with him?). No wonder I’m left drooling over Kunis’ sexy black lace number and sparkling ivory feathered dress…can we say HOT?

Her photo shoot with Los Angeles Confidential shows off her classic look, but we know the secret behind actress Mila Kunis‘ perfectly tousled tresses. That would be the lovely Mara Roszak, this A-list hair stylist is also behind the hot heads of many other starlets and after seeing Kunis’ shoot with the mag, I had to go back to our interview with Roszak to refresh myself on her recommended hair care tactics. Her key advice?
“Be gentle with your hair. I try to not use too many products that can dry out the hair, or give it a harsh texture. Deep conditioning your hair once a week is key.” she told us. Note taken!

Back to the editorial, I really like the nude simplicity of Kunis’ cover shot for the publication. Given it’s their summer issue and they typically pick shots with bolder colors, I’m glad they they kept it simple because less is more, especially in the summertime.

At just 14, nominee for “Best Supporting Actress” Hailee Steinfeld won my vote! Steinfeld wore a Marchesa gown paired with shoes and a clutch by Salvatore Ferragamo. I loved the simplicity of her hair and how youthful she looked. There was no Miley Cyrus-like outfits here, just sweetness, which I loved!

Next was the gorgeous Mila Kunis in Elie Saab Couture accessorized with Neil Lane jewels. I loved the color of the dress and the draping along with the lace detail. Her hair, styled by Mara Roszak also complemented her look all together. Kunis was chic and sexy without being overly dramatic, unlike her character in “Black Swan”.

And lastly there was Gwyneth Paltrow, who at the age of 38, looked nothing short of fabulous! Although her musical performance on last night’s Oscars was sub-par, the Calvin Klein Collection dress she rocked on the red carpet was not. I loved the cut of the gown and how it complimented her hair and skin. I also enjoyed the brightly colored jewels by Louis Vuitton that Paltrow paired with the dress. The little pops of color proved to be just the perfect amount of fun.

What projects do you have in the works and where can we expect to see your hair styles next?
The Oscars are right around the corner. I will be doing Mila Kunis as a presenter. I also have the cover of Lucky coming out in March, along with a Vogue Italia shoot with Zoe Saldana.

Have you always wanted to be a hair stylist? How did you get your start in the business?
I was always a very creative kid, styling and coloring my friends hair in junior high school. When I was 16 I asked my mom if I could get my GED and go to beauty school. So I did. When I graduated beauty school a year later, a family friend of ours, who at the time was a big publicist, asked me if I could style one of her clients Sarah Michelle Gellar for a big premiere. Of course I did it. That was the beginning of it all.

What’s been one of your favorite shoots to work on with Zoe Saldana?
That is a hard question! The [Giant magazine] shoot we did with Nino Munoz was amazing or our [Essence] shoot with photographer Yu Sai was fun and the pictures were beautiful.

Aside from Zoe, what other celebrities and models have you worked with?
Model, Angela Lindvall, Mila Kunis, Emma Stone, Jessica Biel, Zooey Deschanel and Diane Kruger.

What are your tricks of the trade for maintaining glamorous and beautiful locks?
Be gentle with your hair. I try to not use too many products that can dry out the hair, or give it a harsh texture. Deep conditioning your hair once a week is key.

Lastly, what advice do you have for aspiring fashion industry hopefuls?
Have patience and stick to it. Push yourself to find inspiration and stay motivated.

With award’s season full force here in Hollywood, I love peeping all the red carpet winners and losers. But lets not forget awards are meant to celebrate talented actors and film works, which is why I just spent maybe a little too long going through this phenomenal editorial from W magazine called, “Best in Show.” The magazine took time to highlight noteworthy actors and actress from the best films of 2010 in a huge spread captured by photographers, Inez & Vinoodh.

Who’s featured you ask? Everyone from Black Swan‘s Mila Kunis to Social Network stars Andrew Garfield and Jesse Eisenberg. The shoot also captures images of Nicole Kidman, Jonah Hill, Dakota Fanning, Annette Bening, Mark Ruffalo, Colin Firth, Julianne Moore, Jeff Bridges, Michael Douglas, and many more A-listers.
