The film seriously gives you chills as faceless models walk around stiffly with eerie noises in the background. The weirdest part definitely has to be the fact that you never see a model’s face… It’s okay, the beautiful clothes and glittery shoes somehow make it all better. Check the video out down below!

Oh Muiccia Prada, the designer has literally raised the bar for fashion on so many levels as of late. Prada’s current collection has become one of the most coveted of this season and it appears as if the brand’s next campaign for fall/winter is also headed that way, but Muiccia and her creative team didn’t stop there…

They tapped up and coming actress and one of Hollywood’s favorites, Hailee Steinfeld for Miu Miu’s fall/winter ads. Shot by Bruce Weber, the ads feature the  fourteen year old Oscar nominated actress with very little makeup and hair pulled back, really focusing on the silhouette of the clothes (and shoes…oh, the shoes!).  According to WWD, Prada wanted a “film noir” like mood…and the result? Haliee looking seriously chic and mature for her age but not in a way that is too overbearingly obvious. Hailee will follow the footsteps of other younger actresses such as Camille Belle, Lindsay Lohan and Kirsten Dunst and who have all posed for the brand.

Our former Model Monday, the gorgeous Daphne Groeneveld stars in a large editorial for i-D magazine’s latest issue. Shot by Daniel Jackson with looks pulled by stylist Marie Chaix, Groeneveld manages to look good even though the editorial itself lacks much of a theme. Dry pin-straight hair to wet hair and smeared eye makeup and from being silly to serious and sexy, she still manages to look gorgeous. She rocks baggy clothes as well as revealing crop tops (which are huge this season). My favorite look has definitely got to be the shot above as Daphne play fights in a Stella McCartney dress and Miu Miu heels…Not bad eh?

We first encountered Hailee Steinfeld in the film True Grit, where she played the fearless and witty Mattie Ross; now this teenage actress is taking on a new role as Miu Miu’s muse. The red carpet regular always makes best dressed lists for her age appropriate attire, she’s only 14 after all. Her mature, but playful fashion sense has earned her high praise, which is why it makes sense that Prada’s youthful sister is tapping the fresh faced beauty for their ad campaigns.

Steinfeld’s stylist Karla Welch said of their relationship with the brand, “Miu Miu is such a perfect fit for her. Throughout awards season, they were the dresses she wanted to wear.” And wear them she did, Steinfeld was frequently spotted in Prada and Miu Miu dresses. We hear she has already shot the campaign and as the youngest girl to ever be selected to represent the brand, we can’t wait to get the shots in our database.

Past actresses turned muses for Miu Miu have included Lindsay Lohan, Katie Holmes, and Kirsten Dunst. So far Steinfeld’s career and fashion future appear much bright than those three, so congratulations to her for landing a high fashion ad campaign at such a young age!

The question was recently brought up if Kasia Struss appears to be too skinny in the spring/summer Miu Miu ad campaign? As a huge fan of the shoot, Miu Miu (Prada’s sister brand), and Struss, these allegations came as a bit of a surprise. I mean c’mon…models are skinny and tall; what else is new? Struss, who is 23 and 5’10″ is a “naturally tall and thin girl” said a Prada spokeswoman. Plus, from Vogue to runway, she’s also one of the most popular models in the world.

Let’s move on the the controversy, allegedly Struss looks “too thin” in the ads because the way she’s sitting in the chair with so much exposed skin and a loosely fitted dress makes her look underweight. After examining the ad, Europe’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has deemed that it is acceptable for use. Good thing, because it’s already getting plenty of international circulation!

A portion of the ASA ruling stated: “We considered that the ad was typical of those used for fashion products and that the model did not look significantly underweight. We therefore concluded that the ad was not irresponsible.”

A Prada representative said of the image in question, “Ms Struss’ hair was slicked back and she was wearing nude make up with bright red lips … the lighting used for the photograph bounced straight off Ms Struss’ body so as to highlight her features and pale skin.”

The ad campaign was photographed by high fashion duo, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and features models Sasha Pivovarova and Querelle Jansen (FYI, no one complained about either of them looking too thin).

Today’s close of Paris Fashion Week marks the end of fashion month for the industry, but of course Paris saves the best for last- Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu!

Louis Vuitton literally had a “lifting” presentation! After French maids greeted show-goers, models were welcomed onto the runway by doormen after being raised up to the catwalk courtesy of vintage elevators. Watch the video below to see the entire event and keep a sharp eye on screen, so you don’t miss models Naomi Campbell, Raquel Zimmerman and Amber Valletta strut the catwalk. Keep tuned in until the end and you’ll see a cigarette toting Kate Moss close the show! Oh and don’t forget about the fashions, the collection had a fetish feel from designer, Marc Jacobs with the use of rubber materials. With models arriving in elevators, french maids, and haute garments- a high fashion call girl feel was present!

Miu Miu‘s show was much simpler in comparison to Vuitton’s, but handbags and bold glittery shoes were a real standout! I also loved the heavily beaded and sequined floral embellishments which complimented fitted black dresses along with the white collars on oversized blouses. Mila Kunis and Jennifer Lawrence were front row for the show, so I’m sure we’ll be seeing them in Miu Miu’s F/W collection very soon! Watch the full fashion show below:

What’s sleek, shiny and beautiful all over? Yep, you guessed it—Miu Miu of course! And their Spring/Summer 2011 ad campaign has got to be one of my all time favorites! Photographers, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott did an amazing job with these shots. The large contrasts between the black background, the beautiful red floor, and the glowing metallic models and clothing compliment one another so well. Miu Miu’s choice in models is also quite classy and appealing with beauties like Kasia Struss and Sasha Pivovarova amongst others.

Fashion Editor and Stylist, Joe Mckenna did an amazing job with this ad campaign. But then again, how could you possibly go wrong with Miu Miu fashions? And, special attention definitely needs to be paid to those crazy, colorful shoes pictured above! Hello beauties, come to mama! Also, don’t the models look as if they are sitting in a fun house full of mirrors? It’s definitely an interesting perspective, but at least we get to see all angles of the clothing. Please say “hello” to this modeling noobie, Daphne Groeneveld! She is just 15 years old and has only signed with Women Model Management Milan last year. Even though it seems like this Dutch baby has just begun, she’s already racking up the prestigious modeling jobs. Groeneveld was the face of Miu Miu’s Fall/Winter 2010 ad campaign alongside last week’s Model Monday feature, Lindsey Wixson. She has also modeled on the runways for Emporio Armani, Giorgio Armani, Hogan, Versus, Givenchy, Calvin Klein and Marni. All of this in her first year of modeling, HOLY COW!

I guess it’s easy to see why everyone in the fashion industry is currently crushing on Groeneveld, she has gorgeous lips, full brows and sexy sultry eyes. It’s safe to say she has a beautiful look that is quite unique and she stands out amongst the crowd of pretty young ladies she works with—and that’s not an easy task! It’s a good thing she just signed with Supreme Model Management in New York, we need more of her in the States! Be on the look out for Groeneveld in the new Spring/Summer 2011 Givenchy ads, they’re divine!

While gearing up for New York Fashion Week and going through a list of models we hope to see strutting down the runways, we came across the beauty, Lindsey Wixson. She is the one model we CANNOT wait to see! Maybe it’s because we have seen her in so many Spring/Summer 2011 ad campaigns recently, such Jill Stuart, Versace Fragrance, Mulberry, Alexander McQueen and Opening Ceremony. Or maybe is because she has the most perfectly shaped puckers that far outweigh Angelina Jolie’s, and her gap-toothed grin, dare I say better than Georgia May Jagger’s?  Either way, Wixson has captured our hearts and I think it’s fair to say the heart of everyone else in fashion industry.

But, it wasn’t all rainbows and unicorns for Wixson and her modeling career in the beginning…In 2009 Wixson signed with Vision Model Management, after being rejected by IMG Models. Wixson signed with Marilyn Model Management soon after, and instantly got snatched up by Vogue Italia. She was then featured in magazines such as Lula, Teen Vogue, i-D, W, LOVE and V magazine. Wixson was also the face of Miu Miu in seasons past, and according to New York Magazine, has renewed this contract for Fall 2011! She has quite the modeling career going on, especially for only being sixteen years and for only being in the industry for a year or so. Kudos to Wixson, we can’t wait to watch you!
