Imagine picking up the phone and getting Gucci and Alexander McQueen delivered right to your door, QVC style. That is exactly what Vogue Italia and photographer Steven Meisel have dreamed up in their delightful editorial for the February 2012 issue. Creating a faux home shopping network called IVC, gorgeously styled models wearing the trendiest spring 2012 looks strut around a hilariously tawdry showroom.

Perhaps the most amusing part about the witty photo story are the comical marketing statements about the featured clothes. The tag lines and advertising proclamations about the products are arranged exactly as you would see them on QVC and have priceless attention to detail. “Headpieces in the new year… Sea Creature inspired looks, Your next dramatic and modern silhouette!” describes several edgy and elaborate McQueen 2012 ensembles. In another photo, two lively hosts cradle Yves Saint Laurent 2012 shoes and the tag line describes the product “as wearable art” and “ ‘It Girl’ footwear. Across also is a “sold out” sign is over these tag lines, delineating that fashionistas in the real world as well as on the fictious IVC channel are craving these masterpieces on their feet! Yet another tag line declares the 89,523 color blocked jersey Tommy Hilfiger dresses have already sold. If only there was that much of our favorite high fashion to go around!

This editorial is also complete with an extra footage video from the shoot, pushing the entertaining faux shopping channel experience to the next level. Cheesy elevator music plays as the models and hosts display the designer products for viewers at home. I think it’s safe to say if IVC were real, it might be every fashion fanatic’s favorite channel.

All of the tantalizing images were captured by photographer Steven Meisel, while stylist Charlotte Pilcher takes responsibility for the hot attire. As for the perfect bedroom hair? We can thank hair stylist Guido Palau for that. Of course, wherever we find Palau’s work, Pat McGrath‘s makeup artistry is right around the corner. If you can manage to peel your eyes away from the Choos, you’ll realize the brand also makes handbags, which are strategically placed in many of their ad campaign shots.

Time to add a few more items to the “currently coveted fashions will someone please buy them for me?” wish list!

So yes, kudos to Vogue Italia and their June cover which features not one, but three plus-sized models (Tara Lynn, Candice Huffine, and Robyn Lawley) shot by famed photographer Steven Miesel…However, does anyone else find it a little odd that the publication only has two plus sized editorials in it’s entire issue that are literally smushed between other editorials with more fit models?

Franca Sozzani, the magazine’s editor-in-chief (who has quite the opinions) recently told WWD, “We help [plus-size women] dress fashionably. We say: It’s pointless for you to buy leggings, take this because this will look good on you. We help them choose. We don’t talk about diets because they don’t want to be on a diet, but it’s not a ghetto. Why should these women slim down? Many of the women who have a few extra kilos are especially beautiful and also more feminine.”

An interesting take on the issue, but what do you think? Regardless of the fact that in March, Sozzani launched a petition against pro-anorexia websites, do you think this was just a sad attempt at featuring plus size models, or a genuine one?

There isn’t one day that passes where I totally regret not snapping a photo of the stunningly gorgeous Karlie Kloss, who I randomly spotted at a Starbucks this past Fashion Week. Of course, if you’re anywhere around Lincoln Center during that time you are bound to see models, but Karlie isn’t just any model… At only 18, her resume is so impressive that she has major potential to follow the path of some of the modeling world’s greatest! And although there is now rumor floating around that she is romantically linked to Joe Jonas, her love life in no way seems to be affecting her booming career.

Miss Kloss signed on as the face of Oscar de la Renta’s Fall 2011 campaign shot by Craig McDean, this being her fourth consecutive campaign for the brand. And now she also stars in the latest ads for Bally alongside Caroline Trentini and Nico Malleville, shot by Steven Meisel. Check the video below for a behind the scenes peek at the shoot! Taken by Steven Miesel, the shots feature rosy-cheeked models with fur accents. I love the snakeskin boots (how very Chloé, right?) and the muted neutrals, as well as their interesting take on color blocking-patterns (a trend that was major this season). Where last season’s collection was fun, this one is definitely more feminine and chic. Why yes, I would love to tote that purse on my arm! What’s even cooler is that Prada’s ad campaigns features three girls new to the business, Kelly Mittendorf, Ondria Hardin and Antonia Wesseloh alongside the very successful Frida Gustavsson. Way to go Prada!

Six models who are strikingly gorgeous with names that are utterly tongue twisting were cast for Louis Vuitton’s F/W ad campaign. Enter the lovely Zuzanna Bijoch, Model Monday alumn Daphne Groeneveld, Gertrud Hegelund, Nyasha Matonhodze, Anaïs Pouliot and Fei Fei Sun. These ladies put on their officer caps and and cradled a few adorable pups for the campaign which was shot by Steven Meisel. Given Louis Vuitton’s show had a hotel meets call girl theme, some of the more leggy shots are just what we were expecting from the luxe label.

Age 40 never looked so fantastic! And, that is EXACTLY what supermodel, Stella Tennant is—forty and fabulous! For the most part, Tennant was said to have retired from modeling, but recently she has made quite the comeback in ad campaigns, editorials AND on the runways. During Paris Fashion Week Tennant strutted her stuff for both, Chanel and Louis Vuitton. You can also see her beautiful face and black pixie-cut hair in the current Chanel, Reed Krakoff, and Céline S/S 2011 ad campaigns. Dare I say that Tennant may be more wanted than Freja Beha Erichsen or Bambi Northwood-Blyth? Perhaps! And can I just say…YOU GO GIRL!

As mentioned above, Tennant is quite the experienced model. Her career began back in 1993 when she was photographed by Steven Meisel, and featured in Vogue British. Tennant has been photographed by world renowned photographers ever since, including Mario Testino and Patrick Demarchelier. She has also been featured in a multitude of world renowned fashion magazines, and walked the runways for top-of-the-line fashion designers. Not to mention, she is one of Karl Lagerfeld’s beloved muses. According to New York Magazine, Claudia Schiffer was awfully mad when replaced by Tennant at Chanel back in the day.

Do you want to know more fun facts about Mrs. Stella Tennant? Good, here it goes! She is married to French photographer David Lasnet, and together they have four children. Tennant is most known in the fashion industry for her androgynous look, her cute short hair, her lengthy height, and her septum ring (no longer in use, except to scare her kids). In her free time, Tennant likes to embroider, sculpt and garden. She sounds like an overall interesting person and an amazingly cool mother, especially since she incorporated her children into the H&M Fall/Winter 2010 ad campaign she modeled in below.

Have you ever wondered what a model casting or model fitting might look like at a top fashion house? Well look no further, Vogue Italia has it ready and waiting to be looked at in their editorial called, The Power of Glamour! And glamorous it is! The editorial features models who are decked out in full makeup and hair, dressed in gorgeous couture gowns with accessories to match. One has to wonder if casting and fittings actually look like this…Male model, Allen Tsai who plays the designer in this spread, looks as though he is channeling Valentino Garavani, Oscar de la Renta, Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang all at once—job well done.

What do all of the female models have in common? Daunting dresses, headpieces and they all seem to be holding numbers… I don’t know if these numbers are supposed to represent looks or models? I guess it’s up to your own interpretation! I have to say that photographer, Steven Meisel did a wonderful job capturing all of the action shots within this editorial—it looks like all of the models are in mid-strut or mid-pose. Some of these models include Herieth Paul, Anais Mali and Kinga Rajzak. That is quite the model lineup and quite the competition in this mock-model casting. I wouldn’t stand a chance next to those beauties!

If there’s one saying that seems to be ringing true for the Calvin Klein, it’s “Go big or go home.”  According to WWD, the company has plans of turning ck one into a full lifestyle brand with a global advertising campaign that encompasses all things social media, as well as, TV and print. The company is claiming it’s the largest digital initiative in history, but they’re declining to disclose the cost.

The new ads feature more than 30 models inside a “ck one” box laughing, dancing and working it in front of camera, which captures it all in quick shots. Directed by Steven Meisel, featured models include Abbey Lee Kershaw, Alice Dellal, Pixie Geldof, Fei Fei Sun, Ruby Aldridge, Sky Ferreira, and Lara Stone just to name a few.

The key purpose of the initiative, according to consulting creative director Fabien Baron, is to drive traffic to ckone.com which gives visitors an interactive online experience as they can even upload their own ck one version of the video to the site. In addition, the site will have a global store and mobile apps available for various smart-phones.

The full campaign will be revealed March 1st while a teaser will launch tomorrow on the ckone.com. If you’re near the LED billboards at Houston and Lafayette streets in New York, Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, or Subway Urban Panels, peep the new digital ads!

It seems as if Louis Vuitton has nailed it yet again with their latest campaign…remember how on point they were for their last one?!

This time they hired three talented models, Kristen McMenamy, Raquel Zimmermann and Freja Beha Erichsen to channel some very geisha-couture like looks by photographer, Steven Meisel. I love how different yet similar each girl looks in comparison to the other…and don’t even get me started on the handbags, I’ll take one of each. Thank you very much.
