Remember when armor and chainmail was exclusively for medieval knights, and medieval knights only? Well, it’s not anymore! Armor-like accessories are the new craze nowadays! Zink magazine caught wind of this trend and has featured some amazing pieces in one of their latest editorials titled, Ahead of the Game. The majority of the accessories are statement headpieces and upper-body pieces, like necklaces and shoulder jewelry.

The editorial was photographed by Neil Mota, but I have to say that it looks like the work of Patrick Demarchelier. Either way, I am loving this accessories-only spread! I have to wonder though, is it difficult to wear such armor-like items? They look a little heavy! And, they are quite the bold statement when worn, which brings me to another question: Can they only be worn with basics or simple outfits? I guess this calls for a little MyFDB experimentation AND SHOPPING!
