With the�evolution of�technology and�gadgets like the�iPad continuing to�challenge the�future of�print publications, many ambitious writers have taken their passion to�the�web by�creating their own webzines that are stirring up some haute buzz in�the�fashion world. Enter Brittany Law, Creator and�Editor-in-Chief of�Style Republic Magazine, this young editor has transformed her love of�writing and�fashion into a�full-time gig for�herself. Law has had the�opportunity to�interview some of�fashion’s best including Betsey Johnson and�Donna Karan, along with venturing to�New York for�fashion week.

Launched in�2007, “Style Republic Magazine is so much more than just an�online go-to publication,” explains Law. “It’s not a�blog�� it is a�magazine. We run and�operate just like a�print publication. Editorial, deadlines, interviews, photo shoots… everything comes into play like it would in�print, but digitally.”

We wanted to�know, why an�online magazine instead of�print? Law tells us, “I�love the�world of�online media, and�

tend to�be very eco-friendly. I’ve been designing websites since the�age of�10 (hard to�fathom, I�know), so a�web-based magazine was an�obvious choice. By�starting Style Republic Magazine, I�believe we are a�bit ahead of�the�big picture. As�much as�I�love the�world of�print, digital is so efficient�� information can be obtained instantly, while photographs and�video are often posted within moments of�being shot.”
