Party With Foley + Corinna’s Disco City Handbag (contest)

Nov 1, 2010 By Amy

With the goblins of Halloween behind us, we’re looking forward to turkey dinners and themed holiday soirees (ugly sweater party anyone?). What’s the best and most practical accessory for these playful occasions? A handbag that’s not only stylish, but one that’s also versatile and can be worn different ways.

Luckily, you won’t have to hunt for an “IT” bag this party season, because we’re giving away this appropriately titled, Disco City Handbag in Waxy Tumble Natural Grain Leather (retail $200) from Foley + Corinna. The purse comes in a variety of hues, so the winner will get to select which color she wants to rock.

To Enter:

After visiting Foley + Corinna’s website, leave a comment telling MyFDB which items from their Ready To Wear collection you would pair with the bag.

Official Rules:

This contest is open to residents of the US and Canda only and ends November 12 at 1:00 PM (PST). A winner will be chosen based on her response and notified via email. Thank you to Foley + Corinna for providing the prize and contestants will be signed up for their mailing list.

I would pair it with the Cable Removable Sleeve Sweater because you could make it casual with sleeves and dressier without them. Then i’d pair them with the Stretch Leather Lace-up Leggings because leggings are still in and leather is making a come-back. With the purse you could either go out and casual like shopping with the long strap or dinner ready wearing it on your arm.

I think the DISCO CITY IN WAXY TUMBLE NATURAL GRAIN LEATHER (in ruby) would make a beautiful accent to the STRAPLESS BOTANICAL COCKTAIL DRESS WITH PEPLUM for a romantic date night, or maybe a girls night out in the city. Pair this look with Opening Ceremony’s Red Racer Platform Booties, and the Pyramid Stud Wrap Watch, from La Mer Collections, and you can count on our girl to be fashionably early every time!

I would pair it with the Stretch Leather Lace-up Leggings and the Lace & China Silk Blouse for a night out at a club or for a more laid back look the Stretch leather lace up leggings with the Oversized Bunny Sweater

OK, my look is a dual match-
The Foley & Corrina Disco City Bag in Pewter with Black (awesome bag!) would look GREAT with this sexy number: It’s the Metallic linen high-waisted skirt in color blocked paneling with exposed front zip.
    https://www.foleyandcorinna.com/p-724-linen-skirt.aspx

The skirt would make the Bag look good, the Bag would make the Skirt look good! You could flip the top of the bag down too. Either look is good for this outfit. Sexy gal, the bag would stand out!

I’d pair my fantastic Foley & Corinna handbag with the Braided Linen Cardigan, the Stretch Leather Lace-up Leggings, and the Chiffon Bird Aplique Tunic. I could wear this trendy ensemble during a night out on the town or a special party with my friends. The combination of items is fresh and modern, featuring customer-preferred fabrics or materials, such as linen, leather, and lace. The tunic, while displaying a delicate, romantic design and enhancing the tone of the cardigan, supplies a much-needed contrast of cuts and hues with the fiercely-fashionable leggings. In turn, the handbag, the cardigan, and the leggings, exuding futuristic fashion tendencies, would secure the entire ensemble’s originality and uniqueness. Last, but not least, I would accessorize my outfit with a pair of brick-colored ankle booties, silver bagles, and a honey amber cabochon silver ring. Thank you.

I would pair the Disco City Handbag with the Crepe Shorts for a simple but, classy look. The bag would be the perfect accessory to the charcoal shorts and a black tank for a day full of shopping or gallivanting around the city. You could pair this look with flats along with the lace cutout blazer and be set for a lunch meeting within seconds. If that lunch meeting goes into your dinner plans, throw on some black boot heels and you are set for a night out on the town. The Disco City bag will work perfect during the day as a handbag as well as, night time when it can become a crossbody. Feeling confident and chic, this outfit is sure to turn heads.

  • AutumH

I would love to pair it with the braided linen sweater in oatmeal and the cargo leggings in black.

Here’s a distinctive F/W way to pair the ‘Blood ox’ colored bad.

1st- The stretch lace leather tights (its cold in NY)
2nd- The Bubble Chiffon Cocktail Dress With Bird Applique (For the awesome sleeve detail)
3rd- Tulle Strp Long Dress (on top of the other items)
    4th- Fur vest
Then you rock the Blood Ox colored bag.
** By the handles, not over shoulder.

Layered, flowy and lux. Yet intricate enough to be personal style.

Considering the Foley + Corinna’s Disco City Handbag can be worn in different ways, makes me even more excited to challenge and wear this bag with plenty of outfits. To me a bag is an accessory, which doesn’t have to specifically match your outfit but accentuate the whole look(sometimes there are expectations). That is why Black wouldn’t do justice, this bag deserves to be showcased in a pop of color, therefore I have to go with the color RUBY. I would wear this bag with the Mock Neck Leather And Knit Mini Dress. Also the Denim Skirt, black tank, and the Chiffon Petal Vest. Stretch Leather lace-up leggings and the cable removable sleeve sweater.

  • Brenda Lee

I would pair the Disco City Handbag with the Oversized Bunny Sweater. The cargo leggins would also be a nice addition to the entire look. Since I work in the city with a cold climate, I may also pair it with the Fur Trim Poncho. It would be fabulous!

  • https://gimmethatfashion.com joannaC

I would pair the black Disco City with the black leather lace-up leggings, the fur vest, and the tulle stripe shirt. Sorry, I LOVE black!

  • https://witwhimsy.com Meghan

The disco bag is so versatile and would be great as an everday bag because I always find myself toting way too much and when it gets heavy, I would alternate between the shoulder strap and cross body strap.

I’d pair the bag with the amazing Fur Trimmed Poncho: https://www.foleyandcorinna.com/p-778-fur-trim-poncho.aspx and have that over the cable knit removable sleeve sweater: https://www.foleyandcorinna.com/p-826-cable-removable-sleeve-sweater.aspx

  • shel

I’m feeling the “Night Fever” for the Mock Neck leather and Knit Mini Dress in Midnight Stardust. Look out John Travolta, if we’re going Disco City, I’d certainly wouldn’t be blue with that bag in Navy to pair with that mini and my dancing shoes. There’s nothing laid-back about that sassy dress; it’s all hustle and hype. That outfit would sweep everyone off their feet.

  • zaali

    Hi,

I would pair the Foley and Corinna disco bag with “Paillette Dress With Bow Back” -https://www.foleyandcorinna.com/p-866-paillette-dress-with-bow-back.aspx

  • https://saucyfbaby.tumblr.com Nicole O.

If I was to win, I would choose the Disco City Bag in Taupe because I don’t currently own a nude bag & I would pair it with this gorgeous navy Exclusive Elastic Belt Dress.

Since the bag is neutral, it’ll look great alongside the rich navy dress. I love how the elastic belt cinches at the waist creating a beautiful hourglass shape & the draping along the hips makes it interesting.

    :)

Thanks so much for the chance!

  • Ali

I’d pair it with the Crystal Georgette Drape Tank and if I was going out the Stretch Leather Lace-up Leggings otherwise I would wear the top with some dark skinny jeans or black legging pants. What’s great about the bag is that it can go from day tonight and is beautiful regardless. I’m a casual, classy girl and the bag is casual classy and fun thus perfect for me. I love the Disco City bag!

  • Mamavalveeta03

What’s so great about the Studded Epaulette Jacket outfit is that all of the bags would pair really well – so versitile!

  • https://gracyee-xoxo.blogspot.com/ Grace Wong

I would pair this bag with the Victorian Bolero and Beaded Godet Dress. All three pieces seem to contrast with each other, but also compliment each other at the same time. I like how the fabrics and styles are very different from each other, but still look great paired together! Elegance with a twist, that’s how I like it! :)

  • Amber

This bag is gorgeous and perfect for the coming Winter months! I would pair it with the Triangle Top Mini Dress with the Chiffon Petal Cardigan over the top. Cute! :) Thanks so much for the chance to win.

the Braided Linen Cardigan with the Mesh Kangaroo Cardigan Top and Cargo Leggings. Oh, and with some combat boots of course. It’s a simple look that is chic and I’m a sucker for what’s trendy! Also the Disco City handbag looks roomy enough to carry a change of clothes for my dance class. I would wear this look specifically because as a college student I don’t have the time or mind set to take thirty minutes out of my morning to pick an outfit. I could just throw this on and feel chic instantly. Who knows, looking that awesome might help me focus in my classes!

  • Grace

I would pair this amazing bag with the silk sequin top, cargo leggings, and the lace cut out blazer with some strappy black platform pumps.

  • https://aik-friendsnfamily.blogspot.com/ Aik

I would pair it with the Striped Tank and Crepe Shorts.

  • Lost Wanderer

I would pair the awesome Disco City Bag in Scarlet with the Foley + Corinna Army cargo leggings and black crochet crop sweater. To accessorize, I would wear the Foley + Corinna black/black velvet cloche and tons of chunky bracelets on both arms. Would wear black peep toed wedge lace-up booties.

  • https://o-my-heart.blogspot.com Kate

Wow, their handbags are STUNNING. I was swooning all over their website!

I would pair the handbag with the silk crepe shorts, with the ruffle tunic tucked in (and a pair of black opaque tights & some wedge booties, which aren’t on the site, but are essential to winterize the outfit!) all snuggled under the gorgeous fur wrap coat!

The Velvet Cloche is calling to me! I’d wear it with the Cable Removable Sleeves Sweater and Leather Tucked Mini Skirt, maybe some over-the-knee boots, and the Disco City Bag would be the perfect finishing touch. I’d feel like an urban princess.

  • Aida

I would pair it with “Eduardian Military Sweater Jacket”

  • AJ

First off — I love the embroidery dress, but since it is not really the season for it, I am not going to include it in my look as I’m in a fall/winter state of mind right now.

I would pair the fab Disco City bag with the stretch velvet shorts and studded epaulette jacket from the Folina and Corinna collection with a dark tank and almost but not quite opaque tights. It would be perfect for a fun day to night look around town. As for the color of the Disco City, I wouldn’t turn away from the Navy. Great contest!

  • Dee

I’d pair their Sheer Cable Knit Sweater with my favorite skinny jeans and this bag! :)

  • Kate Beebe

Would look fabulous with the fur wrap coat and striped dress!

  • Casey

i love the SUSPENDER DRESS! it reminds me of a sexy schoolgirl look. i think this dress would pair great with the DISCO CITY IN WAXY TUMBLE in Taupe! For some reason the bag has a backpack feel to me (in a good way!)so i think it would pair well with the “schoolgirl” dress :)

    thanks

  • https://www.misswhoeveryouare.com Eileen- MissWhoever You Are

I would totally pair this bag with the Paillette Sweatshirt paired with the Stretch Leather Lace-up Leggings. I love anything shiny and sparkly so the Paillette top is perfect (as its oversized). I love leggings and it’s the perfect bottoms to complement the top. The bag is great because it can be worn dressed up and dressed down.

    thanks for the giveaway!

  • Sara R.

I am a sucker for an easy dress with a stylish bag, so I would pair the Crepe Tie Tunic With Sleeves with the Disco City Handbag in black.

  • Whitney Walker

I would pair the black one with the Beaded Godet Dress. The dress is gorgeous, sexy and sweet, I think that the black bag would hive it a little extra edge and be sooo HOT! I would totally rock that look!

  • carmen

Because this bag is already screaming ROCKSTAR, I’d pair it with the MOCK NECK LEATHER AND KNIT MINI DRESS. The combo would not only catch eyes but give you the confidence you need to live it up and have the time of your life! I think it’d be the perfect outfit for New Years (can’t believe we’re that close!): a little sparkle, a little leather, a fab “yowza” dress and a bag that you can fill to the top with phone numbers (and an extra pair of shoes to dance the night away!).

  • Nicole

I’d love to pair it with the Ostrich And Lace Swing Dress. I’m not much of a fashionista but would like to be!!

  • https://www.twitter.com/ladyofashion Mads

I would wear the Beaded Godet Dress from your collection. This dress is absolutely versatile for my lifestyle by the way I’d wear it. It’s has an almost angelic aesthetic, and I would pair it with your large Mongolian Lambswool handbag to give my outfit a more natural, yet trendy appearance. I also love, how on the opposite side of the handbag there’s solid leather with a removable shoulder strap for diverse wearing. You could even wear the perfect ankle-boot or classy pump with this ensemble!
The Large Mongolian Lambswool handbag is the perfect touch for completion to this ensemble, exuding an angelic/boho-chic lady who is ready to meet for cocktails downtown.

  • https://twitter.com/terreneconway Terrene

I would pair this Foley + Corinna Disco City handbag with the Oversized Bunny Sweater and Stretch Velvet Shorts.

    Thank you!

I would definitely pair the Velvet stretch shorts with the Braided Linen Sweater. The thing I love about the bags is their super chic but also incredibly functional. I can take it to the office, to class, or to the cafe. I wanted my outfit to from the Ready to Wear Collection to reflect that. The outfit is simple and comfy – that way everyones’ attention is on my rockin’ bag.

  • https://style-obsession.blogspot.com/ Jessica

I’d wear the taupe Disco City bag with a sparkly dress, like the Beaded Godet Dress. The juxtaposition between the casual bag and the party dress makes an eye-catching statement. Add the Fur Vest for just a dash of irreverence!

    Here’s a collage of the outfit – I couldn’t resist!

I would pair this bag in teal with the velvet shorts, the haiti tee, and the drapey linen cardigan!

  • Hillary

The Disco City Handbag would go very nicely with all the collection, but if I could choose any outfit from there WTR, I would first go with the Stretch Leather Lace-up Leggings, because those are ssooooo hot! I would pair the leggings with the Oversized Bunny Sweater, because not only does it look comfortable, but its feminine, and it would be a nice contrast to the rocker lace-up leggings. I would wear some combat boots that feature buckles, and my favorite tie bracelets and bagles–on both wrist. (the more the marrier when it comes to jewelry, im an accessory queen!:P ) I would also wear my favorite charm necklaces, and I could even work in the Norma Crochet Scarf if I wanted to feel particularly adorned. Of course I would rock my trusted wayfarers, and my gorgeous knuckle ring. Finally, last but certainly not least, to tie the whole look together would be the Disco City Handbag in the black color :)
