Opening Ceremony LA: From Dance Studio to Fashion Maven’s Paradise

Dec 22, 2010 By Amy

Is it just me or is it annoying trying to buy gifts for people who “have it all.”  Given that there’s just a few days left before the Christmas holiday, I wanted to fill you in on a sweet spot where you can pick up unique items for everyone, especially for those who are harder to shop for. Head over to Opening Ceremony (OC) for some super cool gifts. From clothes to unique gifty items, the shop offers an eclectic array of products. OC carries tons of high-end brands from Alexander Wang to Rodarte, along with their own exclusive designer collaborations. While those price points are on the higher side, you can still purchase many souvenir items for under $100.

Located in West Hollywood off of La Cienega, the shop actually has a parking lot (yay!) and you can’t miss their huge “Opening Ceremony” sign which faces the street and is lit up at night. The huge 10,000 square foot space used to be Charlie Chaplin’s dance studio back in the day but has morphed into a fashion maven’s paradise.

Opening Ceremony also has locations in New York and Japan. If you’re not in one of these major cities, fret not, you can always shop online! For some extra fun you should also peep their blog which is written by OC employees.
