Grab Life By The Globes! Hot Red Carpet Fashions!
The best part of an awards show, besides the winning speeches and celebrity antics, is the FASHION! Red carpet looks varied from elegant black to bright pink and sparkled in between. Let’s go through some of the most noteworthy looks from last night’s Golden Globes; here are the ones which stood out the most:First, we have Eva Longoria in a black Zac Posen gown. The tiny actress actually looks amazing in the floor length dress, which has a small train. She definitely showed off her assets in a classy way.
Up next is Claire Danes, who was a winner on the carpet and the stage. She took home a globe for “Best Actress in A TV Movie” thanks to her role in HBO’s Temple Grandin. The simplicity of the structured Calvin Klein Collection gown flatters Danes’ figure and the color makes her radiate (or maybe that was her win?). Either way, her simple, but chic look was a red carpet favorite.
Gossip Girl, Leighton Meester‘s Burberry Prorsum dress was a total win! Elegant, classy, and sophisticated- all things a fresh faced young actress should be. And I love the purse she chose to carry, it adds a hint of excitement to the floor-length gown. It’s nice to see her styled like a woman, instead of a teenager.
Va-Va-Voom! January Jones had one of the most talked about dresses of the night! The red hot Versace number fit the bombshell like a glove! You can see more of Jones as she goes bare in Versace’s Spring/Summer ad campaigns.
This photo doesn’t do justice for the Giorgio Armani dress Anne Hathaway chose for the event. She literally dazzled down the red carpet! The backless gown has exaggerated shoulders- which Hathaway told NBC, “she could hide stuff in.” Too cute!
Lastly, I had to throw in Glee‘s Chris Colfer who won for “Best Supporting Actor in a Series.” His touching speech brought tears and applause from the crowd and his suit echoed old Hollywood with lapels in a different texture. Also, a little business was also confirmed at the event, Anne Hathaway is set to guest star on the show as Coulfer’s gay aunt- a character she invented.
That’s a wrap from us! Which of the looks above did you like the best?
