Vogue Paris Gives Duran Duran’s “Girls On Film” A Haute Makeover

Apr 7, 2011 By Amy

The party hasn’t stopped for Anja Rubik, Natasha Poly, and Isabeli Fontana thanks to photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. First they were lensed by the duo for Vogue Paris‘ October issue and now the camera wielding pair has just released video footage of the shoot a la Duran Duran’s Girls On Film. The song blasts in the background while Rubik, Poly, and Fontana strike poses and hang out during the shoot. To me, this video seems like an appropriate remake of the original “Girls On Film” music video–which I immediately Googled after watching the Vogue version. All I can say is out with the old and in with the new, because the models make for a triple-threat that Duran Duran can’t compete with!

If you missed the editorial titled “The Party” that this playful video stems from you can check it out on MyFDB. Now crank up your volume and enjoy some Girls On Film!
