Fabiola Beracasa On Fashion And The Animal Kingdom
Writer, activist, and fashion maven are just a few words you can use to describe Fabiola Beracasa. A staple at fashion events around the globe, we recently had the opportunity to talk style with this trendsetter to see what she’s been up to.
What current projects do you have in the works? Is there anything exciting you’d like to share with our readers?
Aside from my work at Elle, I am launching a website called SNAP-X through the Petfinder.com Foundation. SNAP-X (Spay, Neuter, Adopt, Protect) will raise funds and awareness to help minimize overpopulation and abandoned animals. We have a program called Fashion Fixes Strays, where the following designers have committed to producing product for this amazing cause: Charlotte Ronson, Eddie Borgo, Marchesa, Michael Kors, Pamela Love, Proenza Schouler, Rachel Roy, Trish McEvoy.
When it comes to getting ready for events, how do you put together outfits?
When it comes to fashion, I march to the beat of my own drum. My mood often determines what I am wearing and I take it from there.
Please sum up your personal style in five words.
Feminine/masculine, Bohemian, Eccentric, Dark-romantic, Creative.
Where can we find you…
When in need of a heart-warming meal?
On a Saturday night?
At home with friends or on a weekend getaway.
When wanting to catch up with a good friend?
At a cozy restaurant downtown.
Lastly, who are some of your go-to fashion designers and coveted brands?
Givenchy, Erdem, Preen, McQueen, Missoni, YSL, Eddie Borgo, Haider Ackermann, Proenza Schouler, and I always love to combine them with my own vintage collection.
Love those designer picks and a big thank you to Fabiola Beracasa for taking the time to talk to MyFDB!
