Go Behind The “Seams”

May 27, 2011 By Vaneza

When it comes to fashion blogs, I’m a firm believer that it’s all about balance…I love personal style posts, but I’m also a fan of high fashion and editorial images. Often times the balance is off, which is why I was pleasantly surprised and super excited when I came across Behind the Seams written by Trang Huyen. Not only does this girl have rad style (hi, can I raid your closet?), but I love the images and inspiration collages she creates! Additionally, it’s Trang’s chic ability to mix high fashion (see Oscar de la Renta) with basics from Zara and Forever 21, just another reason why she’s our Weekend Read selection!

Go “Behind the Seams” with Trang Huyen as she talks about her blog and personal style with MyFDB.

How did you decide to start a blog? And where did the idea for it’s name come from?
I had a fascination with street style blogs and it inspired me to create my own. I thought it would be a great way to express and share my individual style with people all over the world. The name for my blog came to me while watching an entertainment show that talked about “behind the scene” footage. I played around with the idea and switched out the word “scenes” with “seams”. And voila! That is how I came up with “Behind the Seams”!

Are you a full-time blogger or do you have a 9-5?
Both! I have a full time job but will update my blog any chance I get.

Sum up your personal style in 5 words or less.
Fun, whimsical, bold, eccentric, unexpected.

What is your perfect or ideal weekend like?
Soaking up the sun and frolicking on white sand beaches!

Thanks so much to Trang for taking the time to chat and for more of her style, definitely check out “Behind the Seams” this weekend!
