Hannah McGibbon Says Bye Bye To Chloé
After nearly a decade reigning at Chloé, creative director Hannah McGibbon (pictured above) has announced that she’s leaving the house to “pursue new projects”. Succeeding McGibbon will be Clare Waight Keller, who previously worked with Pringle of Scotland. Keller isn’t a name we’re too familiar with, but taking over McGibbon’s work isn’t an easy feat. McGibbon has made a name for herself with the brand has helped shaped the sophisticated Chloé line.
Geoffroy de La Bourdonnaye, chief executive officer at Chloé said of McGibbon’s departure, “We are grateful to Hannah for her contribution and commitment to Chloé. Her considerable talents will be missed.”
This announcement makes McGibbon’s snake charming fall 2011 collection with Chloé her last. Commencing June 1st, Keller will be taking over the as creative director and I’m thinking we can expect to see more knits from Chloé as that’s one of the designer’s specialities.
