We Saw This Coming: Erin Wasson, The Designer

May 25, 2011 By Vaneza

I mean it was only a matter of time until stunning model Erin Wasson made the smooth transition into designing clothes. Wasson has seen much success in her jewley line, Low Luv as well as a collaboration she did a while ago with West coast brand RVCA.

Now Wasson won’t just be modeling for French brand Zadig & Voltaire, but will also be designing a capsule clothing collection. The line, “Erin Meets Zadig” will launch in September exclusively on Net-a-Porter before being sold at other places worldwide. Erin, whose rock ‘n roll meets hippie aesthetic fit the brand perfectly, said her inspiration was “life, classic cars and Rod Stewart.” The collection consists of studded suede jackets, leather pants and python boots with prices ranging between $120 and $1,400.

In addition to appearing in the brand’s current campaign, she will also star in the Fall ads which will be shot by Fred Meylan. Although we can’t say we didn’t see this one coming…we also can’t wait to see the collection.
