Spend A Little Time in “Le Petit Nest”

By Vaneza

This edition of Weekend Read is as cute and pretty as it sounds. Carly Easterbrook lives in New York and “tends to follow a dressing mantra of simple is, simple does.” And although that’s her fashion mantra, her blog “Le Petit Nest” is anything but! We got the chance to chat with Carly, check it out below.

How did you decide to start a blog? And where did the idea for it’s name come from?
I’ve been reading and following fashion/design blogs since “blogging” really started to make headway in the digital space about 6 years ago. This past year, I finally decided to start my own blog as an outlet of expression and a place to capture all things that inspire me. I asked my fellow contributor Alexandra to join me in this blogging experiment since we both share similar obsessions when it comes to style, aesthetics, shopping, etc. – and I haven’t looked back since! The name “Le Petite Nest” was really a culmination of some inside jokes, but somehow it really fits!
Are you a full-time blogger or do you have a 9-5?
I work in e-commerce fashion/retail marketing fulltime in NYC. Blogging has become my pastime to share and release ;)
Sum up your personal style in 5 words or less.
Comfort, always! Ankle boots all year! Ooops that’s 6 words!
What is your perfect or ideal weekend like?
Waking up to a café au lait from Oro Bakery (my local coffee shop under my apartment) to start my day, spending the day exploring and hunting the city (NYC) on my trusty bike, followed by an early evening rooftop soiree with my favorite faces.

Coffee, a bike ride through the city and a rooftop full of friends? What more could a girl ask for? Sounds awesome to me! Thanks once again to Carly for chatting with us. Check out her blog “Le Petit Nest” for more!
