Welcome Back, Gen Art

Jun 16, 2011 By Vaneza

It was just a little over a year ago when Gen Art filed for bankruptcy. The art-fashion collective was best known for helping up and coming artists emerge in their respected industries. It was their Faces in Fashion show that helped designers such as Phillip Lim and Rebecca Taylor make a name for themselves.

Now, emerging fashion designers everywhere are rejoicing because Gen Art is back! Last week they hosted the Gen Art Filmfest which showcased up and coming filmmakers. Now for the even better news, they are re-introducting their Gen Art Fashion show! “Fresh Faces in Fashion 2011″ is in search of young designers whose collections will be rocked on the runway in both Los Angeles and New York. Registration just opened and designers have until July 10th (in New York) and August 10th (in Los Angeles) to apply.

Maybe it’s not third, but second time, that’s a charm? We can only hope so.
