Emporio Armani Hits The Dirty 30
Stylish duds and haute ad campaigns have come to help define this member of the Armani family and 2011 marks the thirtieth year luxury line Emporio Armani has been in business. Elle magazine is celebrating this milestone, not with bright colors and flashy shoot, but instead by going all black for an editorial titled, “The Color of Night.” And yes, the shoot is literally just that. Shot by photographerThomas Whiteside, the images are VERY dark and mysterious.
Stylist Kate Lanphear pulled an A-list noir cast of dark essentials for stunning brunetteEgle Tvirbutaite, which will make you want to go over to the dark side. While classic black never goes out of style, I would’ve liked to have seen at least one crisp ivory piece make its way into the shoot. This is a celebration not a funeral after all.
