Mojeh Rolls Around With Cultural Icons

Oct 13, 2011 By Amy

In an absolutely stunning collection of photographs for a spread in Mojeh magazine, photographer Norman Parkinson‘s work is put on display. The photog captured natural beauties in organic settings; his images never feel posed or unreal…there’s a glamorous rawness to them which we adore. Back in the 30s & 40s the feelings of hope and escapism were translated from his photos, women had a connection with his imagery during the war period. Assistant editor Kelly Baldwin dug into the photographer’s mind to further translate his imagery.

Of course Parkinson has also worked with some of the biggest names and icons in the industry. He’s also captured unique shots like the Duchess of Feria rolling around on a beach with her black stallion. Along with this exotic shot of models Jerry Hall, Iman, and Apollonia. It’s no wonder Mojeh dubbed the spread “Cultural Glamour” — that’s the perfect way to sum up Parkinson’s work.

You can see more of Parkinson’s images in Mojeh on MyFDB.
